Zusammenfassung Von Beobachtungsdaten fiber die größte Ausdehnung des Eises in der Ostsee in den Jahren 1720 bis 1979 wurden einer Varianzspektrumanalyse unterworfen. Das Beobachtungsmaterial wurde in drei Abschnitte geteilt, um die Signifikanz der möglichen Periodizitäten zu prüfen. Als am deutlichsten signifikant wurden die Periodizitäten von 3.5, 5.2, 8 und 13 Jahren festgestellt.

Summary The data of the largest ice extent of the Baltic Sea from 1720 to 1979 was subjected to spectral analysis. The significance of the possible periods was studied by dividing the time series into three equally long parts. The most distinct cycles found were 3.5, 5.2, 8 and 13 years.
