Formation of Methyldithiophosphinic Acid and Its SaltsThe dimethylammonium salt 1 of the title compound 2 has been obtained from the reaction of MeP(NMe2)2 with H2S. A solution of the free acid 2 and its sodium salt was prepared by ion exchange followed by neutralization. NMR data of the compounds are given. On heating or storing at room temperature 1 decomposes with evolution of HNMe2 and H2S yielding the dimethylammonium salt of (dimethylamido) methyldithiophosphonic acid (5) as an intermediate.

Das Dimethylammonium-Salz 1 der Titelverbindung 2 wurde durch Umsetzung von MeP(Nme2)2 mit H2S erhalten. Eine Lösung der freien Säure 2 konnte durch Ionenaustausch, deren Natriumsalz durch Neutralisation der Säurelösung gewonnen werden. NMR-Daten der Verbindungen werden angegeben.1 zersetzt sich thermisch unter Entbindung von HNMe2 und H2S, wobei das Dimethylammonium-Salz der (Dimethylamido)methyldithiophosphonsäure (5) als Zwischenprodukt gebildet wird.
