We study the vortex liquid phase structure factor by a synthesis of liquid state physics for point particles with a generalization of Ornstein–Zernike-type description to line liquids. The decay of the in-plane Fourier components k|| of the structure factor S(k||,z) along the z-axis due to line wandering are obtained at high flux densities. We find that S(k||,z=0) vanishes linearly as k||→0 signifying that the system is a line in three dimensions.
