Notes: Abstract In this paper we describe the second case of cheirolumbar dysostosis associated with constitutional narrowness of the cervical spinal canal. This case is the 32nd case of cheirolumbar dysostosis described in the literature. Cheirolumbar dysostosis is not a rare dysostosis and may occur in association with various anomalies.

Notes: Summary The authors propose a theory concerning the pathogeny of the mobile odontoid. They believe that this malformation could result from abnormal shortness of the transverse ligament of the atlas.

Description / Table of Contents: Résumé L'auteur décrit l'association «asymétrie faciale — dislocation transversale de la charnière cervico-occipitale».
Notes: Summary The author reports the combination “facial asymmetry — transverse dislocation of the cervico-occipitalhinge”. These congenital anomalies are considered responsible for pains in the cervico-cranial area.

Notes: Summary The superficial veins of the vertebral system outline faithfully the mesencephalon, the pons, the cerebellum and the cerebellopontine angle. In spite of their wide diversity in topography and drainage, the veins of the posterior fossa should be localized in frontal and sagittal views in reference to certain anatomical landmarks.

Notes: Summary Symptomatic intrasellar Rathke's cleft cysts are rather rare: only a few cases with CT findings have been reported. The authors describe the CT appearance of 3. Histological aspects and embryology are discussed. Rathke's cleft cysts have to be differentiated from other intrasellar tumours: cystic craniopharyngiomas, cystic or necrotic pituitary adenomas, cysticercosis.

Notes: Summary The authors report a new case of intraspinal extra-medullary meningeal arteriovenous fistula draining through medullary veins. Discovered in a 33-year-old black man suffering from a cauda equina syndrome, this malformation suspected in myelography was confirmed by a selective angiographic procedure of both internal iliac arteries. This investigation specified the sacral site of the fistula as well as its feeding arteries from several branches of the left and right internal iliac arteries and its posterior and intra-meningeal venous medullary drainage. An embolization procedure followed by a surgical approach and a second embolization session brought a fair improvement to this young patient who could walk again. The acquired traumatic origin of the fistula is discussed for this patient who had been previously operated at his L5-S1 level.

Description / Table of Contents: Résumé 1.
Abstract: Zusammenfassung 1.
Notes: Summary 1. The inferior vermian vein, when it is close to the midline, delineates the anterior wall of the cisterna magna in a lateral view. 2. Paramedian location of the inferior vermian vein may become a source of error by its posterior location in lateral views. 3. When the inferior vermian vein is close to the midline and posteriorly displaced, this is a sign of compression of the cisterna magna.
