Abstract:
Rapidly growing raw material prices and emission trading make biogenic carbon carriers attractive as a substitute for fossil foundry coke. Relevant biogenous input materials for the cupola furnace have been assembled by carburizing and agglomeration methods and characterized by adequate techniques. Selected fractions are tested in industrial scale.
