    Notizen: A new rheo-extrusion technique has been developed to produce extruded profiles. TheAZ31 slurry is fabricated by a twin-screw mechanism, and has spheroidal solid particles with agrain size of about 50 to 80μm. The slurry was introduced into an extrusion container with an innerdiameter of 95mm, and then squeezed to a billet before extruding into a round bar with a diameterof 22mm using a 500kN extrusion machine. It is found that the new technique has a lowerdeformation resistance than that of the conventionally hot extrusion technique in the same extrusionvelocity. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the rheo-extruded bars were examined indetail. The results illustrated that grains of the bar were very fine with the average grain size about2.3μm,and the mechanical properties were improved substantially compared with those of thesame alloy produced by the conventional hot extrusion

    Notizen: The billet of magnesium AZ31B was made by twin-screw rheo-cast, and the specimencut from the rheo-cast billet and normal cast billet were compressed in Gleeble-3000 hot simulator.The deformation temperature was 300, 350[removed info], and the strain rates were 0.001~1s-1. The relationshipamong flow stress, deformation temperature and strain rates were analyzed. The variation of themicrostructure was observed and compared after the specimen was hot compressed. The resultsshow that the surface of the rheo-cast specimen is much more smooth than the normal castspecimen after the compression. The dynamic recrystallization had taken place during thecompression and the recrystallized grain of rheo-cast sample is more tiny than normal castspecimen

    Notizen: An application of the semi-solid alloy Al-6Si-2Mg to produce automobile componentswas carried out for farther development of this new alloy. The experiments were done in aself-developed SSM trial line composed of semi-continuous caster combined with electromagneticstirring for feedstock billet production, 6-station induction reheating equipment for restoringthixotropy of SSM billet and modified die-casting unit for semi-solid thixoforming. The resultsshow that Al-6Si-2Mg alloy has such a suitable fraction solid and low temperature sensitivity offraction solid that the controllability of SSM process is increased greatly. The billets have uniformlyfine microstructure with a higher degree of sphericity and also retain good thixotropic properties.During thixoforming, the die is filled completely, the microstructure of components is dense, andthe primary phases are near spherical, and the mechanical property after heat treatment has goodperformance

    Beschreibung: The kinematics of a two rotational degrees-of-freedom (DOF) spherical parallel manipulator (SPM) is developed based on the coordinate transformation approach and the cosine rule of a trihedral angle. The angular displacement, angular velocity, and angular acceleration between the actuators and end-effector are thus determined. Moreover, the dynamic model of the 2-DOF SPM is established by using the virtual work principle and the first-order influence coefficient matrix of the manipulator. Eventually, a typical motion plan and simulations are carried out, and the actuating torque needed for these motions are worked out by employing the derived inverse dynamic equations. In addition, an analysis of the mechanical characteristics of the parallel manipulator is made. This study lays a solid base for the control of the 2-DOF SPM, and also provides the possibility of using this kind of spherical manipulator as a 2-DOF orientation, angular velocity, or even torque sensor.
