Kurzfassung: During a taxonomic study of Anthurium sect. Pachyneurium, it was found that the names of four species required typification. Verification of the protologues and cited collections is discussed and typifications are proposed as follows: the illustration Schott Icones Aroideae No. 465 is designated as the neotype of A. affine Schott. A lectotype is designated for A. bonplandii G.S.Bunting since the holotype, cited in the protologue at MY, was not found there. An epitype is selected for A. solitarium Schott because the lectotype illustration of J.M.C. Vellozo ( Flora Fluminensis t. 123 ) lacks sufficient detail to determine it unambiguously to species in A. sect. Pachyneurium. A lectotype is selected for A. glaziovii Hook.f., a synonym of A. solitarium .

Kurzfassung: ABSTRACT Rubiaceae in Brazil occurs mainly in the Atlantic Forest biome that in the southern region is represented by two main vegetation types: Seasonal Semi-deciduous Forestand Araucaria Forest. Both occur in the Ecological Park Paul Gorski (PEPG), an urban forest fragment. Given the relevance of Rubiaceae in the Atlantic Forest and the importance of ecological anatomy studies to understand colonization and survival processes, this study aimed to anatomically characterize leaves of Rubiaceae found in the PEPG. We studied 14 species belonging to nine genera of Rubiaceae that present unistratified epidermis, trichomes, paracytic and paralelocytic stomata, dorsiventral mesophyll, and collateral vascular bundles as common characters to the family. Among the anatomical characters observed, considered common in mesophytes-heliophytes plants, stand papillae, trichomes, and compact mesophyll out. Therefore, these features are in accordance with the environmental conditions recorded in the area of edges and clearings of the Atlantic Forest and in disturbed areas.

Kurzfassung: AbstractThe aim of this study was to analyze the population structure, regeneration and spatial distribution of Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntz. within a natural forest and in forest edge with agricultural monoculture. All araucaria individuals from 10 cm high were recorded in 200 plots of 10 x 10 m. 479 individuals were sampled (416 at the edge and 63 inside). Of these, 33 were females, 37 males, 49 juveniles and 360 regenerating individuals. The population structure performance was similar to standard inverted-J. Regenerating individuals had mainly the aggregate distribution pattern, while juveniles, males and females had a uniform pattern. Density of the canopy affected frequency of the individuals, where higher frequencies at higher densities were observed, indicating that regeneration of this species is more effective in shadowed environments. Due to the large number of individuals sampled in different size classes, the Iguaçu National Park is an important conservation remaining of A. angustifolia.Keyword: Density canopy; mixed temperate rain forest; spatial distribution; regeneration.

Kurzfassung: Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of tobacco extract on the control of the mealworm beetle [Alphitobius diaperinus (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)] in aviaries. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design, using four contact times (21/2, 5, 71/2, and 10 min) and four tobacco extract concentrations (0, 25, 50, and 75% dilution). The contact time and the dilution of the extract were independent; however, contact time had greater effect on insect mortality. The tobacco extract has insecticide potential in the management of aviaries, but toxicity tests should be performed on the birds.

Kurzfassung: This study aimed to evaluate an enrichment planting of 12 tree species native to the region, in a reforested area of the Biodiversity Corridor Santa Maria, located between the cities of Santa Terezinha de Itaipu and São Miguel do Iguaçu-PR. This study also aimed to evaluate the persistence of the invasive species Megathyrsus maximus (Jacq.) B. K. Simon & S. W. L. Jacobs, known as green panic grass, and it also monitored changes in physical and chemical characteristics of the soil. The evaluations consisted of monthly monitoring of the mortality rate and seedling growth and dry mass obtained from the management of green panic grass. The changes introduced in the soil were checked using three soil samples throughout the experiment. Mortality reached a percentage of 24.38%, which was more intense in the first two months: January (11.88%) and February (5.63%). Regarding the development of seedlings, the species that stood out were Aloysia virgata (Ruiz & Pav.) Juss. (sweet almond verbena), and Ceiba speciosa (A.St.-Hil.) Ravenna (silk floss tree), with monthly increases in diameter of 0.80 mm and 0.60 mm, and in height of 5.80 cm and 1.74 cm, respectively. The control of green panic grass by the applied methodology was efficient, with no significant recurrence over the months. Through soil analysis, it was possible to observe that the recovery of the area, even for a short period, proved to be effective in altering the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil, and it may also lead to new modifications due development of seedlings.

Kurzfassung: The Leguminosae family is one of the most representative in Brazil, with more than 2,800 native species in 222 genera. It is also one of the most representative families in all Brazilian phytogeographic domains, especially in the Atlantic Forest, where the Iguaçu National Park (ParNa Iguaçu) is located. The present study aimed to produce a synopsis of the Leguminosae species, and compare their distribution in three different areas of the park. ParNa has a total area of about 185,000 hectares, its vegetation is predominantly Semideciduous Forest (SF), in the areas of Foz do Iguaçu and Capanema, and a transition from this with Araucaria Forest (AF), in the area of Céu Azul. Fortnightly expeditions were carried out along the main trails of ParNa, from April 2018 to May 2019, there were also surveys in the platforms SpeciesLink, Jabot and the Reflora Virtual Herbarium, in addition to visits to the herbaria EVB, HCF, MBM, PUC-PR and UPCB. Sixty-three native species of Leguminosae distributed in 40 genera were found. The most representative genera were Senegalia with eight species, followed by Machaerium, Mimosa and Desmodium with four species each. Of these species, 24 are new records for ParNa, five were found only in the AF area, 51 only in SF and eight are found in both these vegetational types. Two species are endemic to Paraná, Mimosa prionopus and Senegalia rafinesqueana, and two are threatened, Apuleia leiocarpa and Gleditsia amorphoides. An identification key, scientific illustrations and/or photographs with diagnostic characters of the taxa and comments on the geographical distribution are presented.
