Abstract: This paper presents a theoretical review of how the public health concept has been perceived in health practices, based on the problematic field introduced in Italian and Brazilian health reforms, in order to understand the construction of public health and the meanings that this term acquires in the health arena. The main goal is to understand how public health appears in the context of health movements in Italy and Brazil, as well as its movement of variation. In this sense, an attempt is made to identify elements that contribute to the composition of a genealogy of public health. From the investigation of public health practices, the tensions produced by this concept are analyzed, giving visibility to those practices that demonstrate the public health experience as a force in the world of health.

Abstract: Abstract This study aims to understand the movements of the Urgency and Emergency Care Network production in two health regions. It is characterized as a qualitative multiple case study and was developed through open interviews with managers of the Brazilian Health System, SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde), in two Brazilian states. The empirical material was organized and discussed through identified categories adopting the analytical scheme of the fields of organizational interventions which were: the multiplicity of movements in the production of the RUE, the power of the hospitals; and, the weakness of government regulation. Despite the different times and contexts in these states, both processes emphasized organizational aspects and financing, with low inputs in the production of different modes of health care production. Regional governance is, therefore, produced in the complex relations between national policy and local action. The RUE as a public policy induced nationally by the Ministry of Health becomes a singular production in the field of regional management.

Abstract: The objective of this research was to know the wives of a group of convicted men, serving their time partially at home, and to identify the discriminations they had to go through, including those of gender. We searched to identify the possible labeling for having a convicted relative and the strategies of resistance that these women use in everyday life. The research method is qualitative and information was obtained by means of participation-observation and focal groups with the wives of convicts in a prison facility in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, RS, in a semi-open regime. The wives of convicts submit themselves to situations of control, based on the systems of class and gender domination. From our analysis, the labeling in relation to this social group was found in-between the lines, in other words, implied meanings appeared in their statements. However, the women actively resist to violence, seeking support in family and neighborhood networks. The precariousness of social supporting networks and the lack of information and access to the job market contribute to the marginalizing of the convict and his family, clearly denoting the importance of studies that seek to integrate this social group.

Abstract: Abstract In this article, we discuss Collective Health, in order to monitor how it is expressed and which senses updates. We place our research in a genealogical perspective, analyzing the composition and loss of sense of reformist territories in Italian and Brazilian scenarios. We discussed the images to express the collective health - the people, the group and civil society - to propose a different way of thinking that expression, of procedural and intensive character as a power. It is not the setting of this notion to assigned shapes that makes Collective Health, but the strength that characterizes the collective as something unspecific, power variation. Considering the uniqueness of the collective prevents that paradoxically, one reproduces a policy that affirms the precepts of Social Medicine or Public Health in the field of Collective Health, opening up the possibility for new productions of meaning.

Abstract: The present work approaches a subject that has not been clearly discussed by the schools and teachers: the questions of gender and sexuality. Our objective was to explore elements related to the young people in vlogs, keeping in mind to analyze the experience of gender and sexuality in a school environment. We intended to investigate the effects of the non-existence of this kind of policy in the school context, through analysis of vlogs. The research was of the qualitative nature, through the study exploratory character, and documental research utilizing vlogs of the internet. The results suggest that the internet is used as a support network, and the themes discussed by the young ones can be grouped in three axes: pedagogical control, deconstruction of heteronormativity culture and expression of fragilities.

Abstract: This article analyzes pro-anorexia blogs, or pro-Ana blogs, produced by men to understand the anorexic male behavior and the space that these blogs occupy in the life of these individuals. Our goal was to explore factors related to the culture of thinness that is available on the blogs, in order to analyze the issue of anorexia in men, as well as understand how they feel about this experience. This is a qualitative study conducted in Brazilian and foreign blogs authored by men. The results suggest that, to this population, the internet is a support network with characteristics of mutual aid and autonomy production. Through the blogs, men discuss alternatives to deceive their families and socialize strategies to achieve the goal of low weight maintenance. We conclude that health professionals should pay attention to this "informal network" of mutual support, as the pro-Ana blogs have been contributing to promote the anorexic behavior among men.
