Abstract: ABSTRACT The Family Health Support Centers (Nasf) have become an object of inquiry and research. Based on a review of literature and official speech expressed in the documents of the Ministry of Health, a study of its evaluability was conducted, pointing out some assessment strategies more appropriate to the initiative. Therefore, the Nasf proposal proved to be evaluable, and the evaluation of its logic and strategy, approaching its conception and theoretical hypotheses, gains relevance in its current stage, in which the initiative is found.

Abstract: Abstract The aim of this qualitative and quantitative research was to get to know and analyze the working conditions of the public servants who work at the National Institute of Social Security (from the Portuguese Instituto Nacional de Seguro Social) and have ties with the Social Security System in the south of the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, focusing on the implications to their health. This exploratory research was performed between 2013 and 2017. The sample was composed of 165 workers from 11 agencies of the National Institute of Social Security in that region, who filled out a questionnaire with scales to rate working conditions and well-being in association with open questions. In a second moment, we adopted the narrative technique with the goal of complementing the data. The mean result of the working conditions scale (0-10) was 6.65 (SD = 1.39); as for the well-being, the mean result of the scale (0-7) was 4.99 (SD = 1.13). We observed ethical dilemmas deriving from the quality of the work, with the prioritization of the fulfillment of quantitative goals due to the introduction of the logic of the private sector within the management of the work in the public sphere. We concluded that the working conditions and well-being have negative repercussions on the health of the workers.

Abstract: The objective of this article is to present the structure and psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of The Work Well-Being Questionnaire. This was developed with the aim of providing a measurement tool particularly sensitive to the psychosocial dimension of work well-being, and to the bipolar nature of the well-being experience. The questionnaire was applied to a convenience and intentional sample, constituted by 101 teachers of a higher education community institution in the south of Santa Catarina. Factor analysis shows two independent factors in The Work Well-Being Questionnaire, considering the first of three scales of psychosocial well-being (emotions, skills and expectations) and the second, three other side effects (somatization, wear and alienation). The scales showed high internal consistency with Cronbach's alphas of 95, 95, 97, 88, 93 and 80, respectively. The Work Well-Being Questionnaire faithfully reproduces the structure of the theoretical model assumed and meets the technical properties needed to assess the work well-being in university environments.

    In: Saúde em Debate, FapUNIFESP (SciELO), Vol. 43, No. spe8 ( 2019), p. 120-132
Abstract: ABSTRACT This article discusses the origin of the Brazilian Sanitary Reform Movement (MRSB) from the review of the literature published in the journal ‘Saúde em Debate’, by the National Commission on Sanitary Reform, from 1980 to 2010. (MSST), and how the fragile social base of the Health Reform is related to the ‘divorce’ between them. It shows the progress achieved by the MSST in the late 1970s and 1980s in the implementation of Worker’s Health Programs, which were carried out by the Unions advised by their inter-union body, in the struggle for health at work, an issue which was disregarded by MRSB. With the hegemony of global neoliberal productive restructure in the country and structural unemployment, there is a decline in the action of the Union movement, weakening its role in the struggle for health at work, which could have potentiated the fight for Brazilian Sanitary Reform.

    In: Ciência & Saúde Coletiva, FapUNIFESP (SciELO), Vol. 25, No. 12 ( 2020-12), p. 4843-4852
Abstract: Abstract This paper addresses Worker’s Health scientific production, specifically about how the Journal Ciência & Saúde Coletiva has contributed to the consolidation of this field. This is a qualitative and descriptive study based on a review of the Journal’s collection from 1996 to 2019. We selected a final sample of 156 texts organized by thematic groups. The theme was designed with the predominance of Epidemiological and Public Policy studies, studies of a theoretical-methodological nature and related to World of Work Transformations. Approximately 60% of publications are concentrated in the 2009-2015 period. A significant decline in the number of works was observed as of 2016. The papers address Worker’s Health in a comprehensive and diversified manner. There is a greater emphasis on research on work and environment, health issues, formulation and implementation of policies and programs. The journal significantly contributes to the national Worker’s Health. Strengthening academic production in this field remains a challenge, especially in the face of the loss of rights.

Abstract: This article presents the process of adaptation of the Questionnaire on Means of Work - QMOW in Brazil. This instrument is integrated by two inventories and four scales about significance, perceptions, assignments, values and attitudes concerning the act of working. The methodological procedure to validated the instrument is constituted by following stages: systematization of theoretical and empirical basis on which is built the QMOW original version, the pilot instrument administration and the pre-test by the adapted version, including 680 people, with predominantly young adults, of the masculine and feminine sexes, from different work backgrounds and different degrees of schooling and income levels. The psychometrics data obtained from the instrument has shown a high internal consistency to the total of items of the inventories and scales and it has evidenced that QMOW Portuguese version is appropriate for administration in a Brazilian context.
