Description: Here we present the discovery of R. daphneae along the southern Central Indian Ridge, at the Rodriguez Triple Junction, and along the northern Southeast Indian Ridge within the German contract area for the exploration of marine massive sulfide deposits in the Indian Ocean. We used video sled and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) to collect video imagery and recognized a total of eight individuals. The two supplementary videos report on one individual associated with polychaetes on its tentacles and oral disc and, and one individual of the giant anemone that was recorded for the first time, capturing prey, a shrimp of the species Rimicaris kairei. This will provide insight into the basic ecology of the rather elusive giant anemone, R. daphnaea. Supplementary video 1: Video imagery collect by the Remotely Operated Vehicle ROPOS (Remotely Operated Platform for Ocean Science, www.ropos.com) showing commensal polychaetes moving on an individual of Relicanthus daphneae from two different cameras. Arrows in the video indicate position of polychaetes on the giant anemone. Supplementary video 2: Video imagery collect by the Remotely Operated Vehicle ROPOS (Remotely Operated Platform for Ocean Science, www.ropos.com) showing an individual of Relicanthus daphneae capturing prey (Rimicaris kairei). Arrows in the video indicate the position of the shrimp R. Kairei captured by the giant anemone.

Description: Background: The growing interest in mineral resources of the deep sea, such as seafloor massive sulfide deposits, has led to an increasing number of exploration licenses issued by the International Seabed Authority. In the Indian Ocean four license areas exist, resulting in an increasing number of new hydrothermal vent fields and the discovery of new species. Most studies focus on active venting areas including their ecology, but the non-vent megafauna of the Central Indian Ridge and South East Indian Ridge remains poorly known. In the framework of the Indian Ocean Exploration project in the German license area for seafloor massive sulfides, baseline imagery and sampling surveys were conducted yearly during research expeditions from 2013 to 2018, using video sledges and Remotely Operated Vehicles. New information: This is the first report of an imagery collection of megafauna from the southern Central Indian- and South East Indian Ridge, reporting the taxonomic richness and their distribution. A total of 218 taxa were recorded and identified based on imagery, with additional morphological and molecular confirmed identifications of 20 taxa from 89 sampled specimens. The compiled fauna catalogue is a synthesis of megafauna occurrences aiming at a consistent morphological identification of taxa and showing their regional distribution. The imagery data was collected during multiple research cruises in different exploration clusters of the German license area, located 500 km north of the Rodriguez Triple Junction along the Central Indian Ridge and 500 km southeast of it along the Southeast Indian Ridge .

Description: During DIVA-3, the third expedition of the DIVA project (Latitudinal gradients of deep-sea biodiversity in the At- lantic Ocean), 45 specimens of Serolidae were obtained from the Argentine Basin, at a depth of about 4600 m. These were a new species of Glabroserolis and Atlantoserolis vemae (Menzies, 1962). Besides the description of Glabroserolis occidentalis sp. nov., Glabroserolis specialis Menzies, 1962 is redescribed on the basis of the type material. Atlantoserolis vemae is redescribed using the type material, North Atlantic specimens, and the new South Atlantic material. Morphological differences between specimens of A. vemae from the North and South Atlantic could not be identified. The molecular data suggest that A. vemae from the Argentine Basin comprises two deeply divergent clades, which may represent reproductively isolated, sympatric species.

Description: Two new clausidiid copepods of the genus Hemicyclops (Poecilostomatoida: Clausidiidae) associated with mud shrimps are described from Brazil: Hemicyclops caissarum sp. n. associated with Callichirus major (Say, 1808) from a beach in Santos and Hemicyclops sebastiani sp. n., in burrows of Callichirus guassutinga (Rodrigues, 1971) in S\xc3\xa3o Sebasti\xc3\xa3o. H. caissarum is closest to H. carinifer Humes, 1965 from Madagascar and H. sebastiani can be easily distinguished from all its congeners by the presence of a thick, densely plumose seta on the antennule segment 2, and the greatly enlarged tergal plate of the 4th pediger. New records of Hemicyclops subadhaerens Gooding, 1960 and Hemicyclops thalassius Vervoort & Ramirez, 1966 from the Brazilian coast are also included.
