Abstract Parvovirus B19 has been associated with different diseases. However, hepatic involvement has rarely been reported in adult patients with parvovirus B19 infection. Herein, we report two adult patients with hepatic dysfunction associated with acute parvovirus B19 infection. We believe that hepatic involvement in the setting of parvovirus B19 infection is more common than suspected, and that antibodies against this agent should be routinely measured in patients with hepatic dysfunction of unclear etiology.
