Notes:
Summary Organophosphorus pesticide factory workers have been examined electromyographically and a relation between work with organophosphorus compounds and low voltage E.M.G. in response to supra-maximal ulnar nerve stimulation has been demonstrated. Workers with low voltage E.M.G. also have, on average, low conduction velocities in both fastest and slowest motor nerve fibres. A comparison of the maximum conduction velocity of motor nerve fibres in control and organophosphorus workers showed that the latter group had, on average, velocities 10% less than the control group.
