Summary On the basis of previous measurements, corresponding or depending on the shape of the skull, the following simple possibilities are available to localise the Angulus venosus: a) approximative methods: The Angulus venosus always lies above the line of the Nasion-Basion, generally on the same stretch as the Endbregma-Basion, on the middle of the angle Tuberculum sellae-Endinion-Endobregma and on the point of incision of the verticals, which are established on the inferior third point of the line Tuberculum sellae-Endobregma and on the third anterior point of the line Endobregma-Endolambda. b) accurate method: If the inferior distance of Tuberculum sellae-Endobregma is sub-divided to the relation of 32.58% ± 3.07 and the anterior distance of Endobregma-Endolambda sub-divided to the relation of 33.32% ±± 2,5 and are consequently vertically established on these points, they will as a result cross exactly in the Angulus, venosus. This method of localisation improves the practice employed hitherto from 20–40%.
