Description: Alive and dead colony sections of Madrepora oculata cold-water corals were measured from underwater video transects carried out to characterize benthic communities. Data were collected from 17th to 25th January 2016 off Angola in 6 coral mounds. Video transects were recorded with the Remotely Operated Vehicle SQUID during the ANNA expedition (Hebbeln et al. 2016). The data included in this dataset have been published in Orejas et al. (2021).
