Notes: Summary Skin tumours occurring in the region of the lateral canthus often involve both eyelids, requiring reconstruction of both lids. This can be accomplished by utilising the multi-staged procedures described in the literature. However, in the elderly, a one-stage procedure is preferable. The use of a forehead flap with chondro-mucosal lining, produces a satisfactory functional and cosmetic result.
