Zusammenfassung Bei Blutverdünnung wird der Hämatokrit mit dem elektronischen Mikro-Hämatokritgerät niedriger gemessen als mit der Hämatokritzentrifuge. Die Abweichung von dem zu erwartenden Wert beträgt bei 30,0% Hämatokrit etwa 3,5 und bei 20,0% Hämatokrit etwa 6,5 absolut-%. Für die Indikation zur Bluttransfusion muß der aus der elektronischen Leitfähigkeit des Blutes ermittelte Hämatokrit nach der Formelx=0,792y+9,277 korrigiert werden.

Summary Hematocrit determinations in the course of hemodilution extracorporeal circulation experiments were carried out by both electronic means (YSI type 30) and by standard centrifuge techniques In 8 dogs, 56 comparative measurements were made. The electronic technique gave a consistently low reading. At a true hematocrit of 30,0% the instrument consistently read 26,5% and at true hematocrit level of 20,0% the machine read 13,5%. The scale is corrected electronically according to the formula:x=0.792y+9.277.
