Abstract:
The Direct Mercury Analyzer (DMA-80) was studied and investigated to quickly and & nbsp;accurately determine the total mercury content in health supplements. The method shows & nbsp;high specificity, and the calibration curve has a good correlation coefficient with R2 greater & nbsp;than 0.995; the limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were 1.88 & micro;g/kg & nbsp;and 6.26 & micro;g/kg, respectively; The relative repeatability standard deviation (RSRr) was in the & nbsp;range of 2.46 - 7.34% and the recovery (R) was in the range of 85.7 - 100%. The method & nbsp;was applied to evaluate the mercury content in 39 health supplement samples taken in Hanoi & nbsp;city. The initial research results indicated preliminary & nbsp;mercury & nbsp;contamination in 13 health & nbsp;supplement products on the market in the range of 5.41 - 450 & micro;g/kg. & nbsp;
