Abstract:
Systemic capillary leak syndrome is a rare and potentially lethal disorder characterized by episodes of vascular hyper-permeability, which lead to shock. Although the pathogenesis is unknown, some viral infections can act as triggers. We present the first case associated with influenza A virus in adulthood, perform a literature review and discuss its treatment.
