Abstract:
The nonlinear and linear properties in Metglas/piezofiber magnetoelectric composites under DC bias fields ( H bias ) have been investigated via a frequency‐conversion technique. It was found that the major noise near the carrier frequency ( f C ) is caused by the driven source. Both linear ME coefficient and noise floor near f C (bandwidth of noise measurement is 10 Hz) were dependent on H bias , while the nonlinear ME coefficient was independent. A high magnetic‐field sensitivity of 40 pT was obtained after optimizing H bias . (© 2014 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
