Abstract:
What's new? MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are of special interest in cancer research and hold significant promise as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for malignant disease. Their promise is illustrated by miR‐362‐3p, an miRNA that was discovered in this study to be associated with reduced risk of progression in primary colorectal cancer. In vitro analyses revealed that increased expression of miR‐362‐3p limited cell proliferation by regulating the activity of certain cancer‐related genes. The findings could prove useful for the refinement of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for colorectal cancer.
