    Abstract: Purpose: This article reviews the essential clinical trials that have led to these immunotherapy approvals and explores the use of predictive biomarkers, such as PD-L1 expression and MSI status, to identify patients who are most likely to benefit from immunotherapies. Methods: This case review series describe findings from different clinical trials and contribute to the evolving understanding of the role of CPIs in managing advanced gastroesophageal cancers and may lead to improved treatment options and patient outcomes. Ongoing clinical trials also hold promise for expanding treatment options and improving patient outcomes in the future. Methods: The systematic review followed the recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The protocol has not been registered. A systematic literature review was conducted to identify relevant clinical trials and studies that describe the role of immune checkpoint inhibitors in managing advanced gastroesophageal cancers. Electronic database (PubMed, Clinicaltrials.gov, Society of Immunotherapy of Cancer, Aliment Pharmacology & Therapeutics, BMC cancer, Molecular Cancer Research, Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, American Association for Cancer Research, Science, Nature, Cancer Discovery, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Advanced Immunology, Oncotarget, Nature Medicine, Nature Genetics, Gut, Pathology and Oncology Research, Journal of Clinical Oncology, The New England Journal of Medicine, Gastrointestinal oncology, JAMA Oncology, Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology, Current Oncology, Annals of Oncology, The Lancet, JCO Oncology Practice, Future Oncology, Gastric Cancer, CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Gastroenterology, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, International Journal of Epidemiology, Helicobacter, Gastroenterology Review) were searched using a combination of relevant keywords and MESH terms. The search encompassed articles published up to 5/2023. Additionally, manual searches of reference lists of selected articles and pertinent review papers were conducted to ensure comprehensive coverage of relevant studies. Studies were included if they provided insights into clinical trials evaluating the efficacy and safety of CPIs in treating advanced gastroesophageal cancers. Relevant case reviews and trials exploring combination therapies involving CPIs were also considered. Articles discussed in the utilization of predictive biomarkers were included to assess their impact on treatment outcomes. Data from selected studies were extracted to inform the narrative review. Key findings were summarized, including clinical trial designs, patient populations, treatment regimens, response rates, progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and adverse events. The role of predictive biomarkers, particularly PD-L1 expression and MSI status, in identifying patients likely to benefit from CPIs was critically evaluated based on study results. Ongoing clinical trials investigating novel combination strategies and exploring the broader scope of CPIs in gastroesophageal cancers were also highlighted. The collected data were synthesized to provide a comprehensive overview of the crucial clinical trials that have contributed to the approval of CPIs for advanced gastroesophageal cancers. The role of CPIs in different lines of therapy, including first-line regimens, was discussed. Furthermore, the evolving landscape of predictive biomarkers was examined, emphasizing their potential significance in optimizing patient selection for CPI therapy. Ongoing clinical trials were reviewed to underscore the continuous efforts in expanding treatment options and improving patient outcomes in the future.

    Abstract: This article focuses on the portrayal of the military chaplaincy in Europe in European scientific journal articles during the past two decades. The military chaplaincy represents an interesting case as it is a member of two strong professions: a soldier and the clergy. Furthermore, the profession is facing many challenges connected to diversification and pluralisation, networking, technology, and extraprofessional collaboration. The data of the review study included scientific journal articles that are published electronically in major scientific databases. When portraying military chaplaincy, the articles emphasised five themes: Basic functions, the history of the profession, the changing nature of the military chaplaincy, organisational change, and professional ethics.

    Abstract: Journal publishers play an important role in the open research data ecosystem. Through open data policies that include public data archiving mandates and data availability statements, journal publishers help promote transparency in research and wider access to a growing scholarly record. The library and information science (LIS) discipline has a unique relationship with both open data initiatives and academic publishing and may be well-positioned to adopt rigorous open data policies. This study examines the information provided on public-facing websites of LIS journals in order to describe the extent, and nature, of open data guidance provided to prospective authors. Open access journals in the discipline have disproportionately adopted detailed, strict open data policies. Commercial publishers, which account for the largest share of publishing in the discipline, have largely adopted weaker policies. Rigorous policies, adopted by a minority of journals, describe the rationale, application, and expectations for open research data, while most journals that provide guidance on the matter use hesitant and vague language. Recommendations are provided for strengthening journal open data policies.

    Abstract: Considerable research has been conducted in the past decade and a half regarding the bio-lubricants potential to replace mineral-based lubricants as mainstream lubricants such as engine oil, hydraulic oil, compressor oil, and metalworking oil. This study studied several bio-lubricants (rapeseed oil, palm olein, and soybean oil) and a mineral-based lubricant, SAE40. The bio-lubricants have better physiochemical, tribological characteristics and environmental friendly nature, and are promising to replace mineral-based lubricants. In this study, a journal bearing test rig (JBTR) was developed in order to investigate the effect of journal speed on the temperature of oil film with time. Additionally, the load-carrying capacity of bio-oils was tested against the mineral-based lubricant SAE40 by adding a load on the journal. For all three speeds, i.e., 1000, 1500, and 2000 rpm, the bio-lubricants recorded minimum temperature. At 1000 rpm, rapeseed oil recorded a 9.2% lower temperature than SAE40. Similarly, at 2000 rpm, rapeseed oil recorded a minimum temperature that was 2.5% lower than SAE40; in comparison, at 1500 rpm, palm olein recorded a minimum temperature that was 1.8% less than SAE40. Overall, the results of this study revealed that bio-oils recorded a lower temperature rise than mineral oil. These results are very encouraging for further research in this area.

    Abstract: Unrestrained urbanisation and natural space loss are reducing contact with nature in today’s society, producing negative consequences for people’s mental and physical health and wellbeing. Nature-based therapies, such as physical activity in natural settings, forest bathing, therapeutic hiking, or experiential learning, reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms and improve the quality of life in both general and specific populations. A bibliometric analysis of research on nature-based therapies was performed by applying the traditional laws of bibliometrics (exponential growth law, Bradford’s concentration law, Lotka’s law, Zipf’s law, etc.) to documents published in journals indexed in the Core Collection of the Web of Science (WoS). Graphical visualisation was performed using the VOSviewer software. Annual publications between 2006 and 2021 presented an exponential growth trend (R2 = 91%). The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (MDPI) and Urban Forestry & Urban Greening (Elsevier) were the most productive and cited journals. Ikei, Miyazaki, and Song are the most cited prolific authors. The USA and South Korea were the countries with the highest scientific production. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in adventure, nature, and forest therapies among researchers. Nature-based therapies have experienced a growing interest in recent years. Positive effects on mental, physical, and emotional health have been found in different populations and research lines, although more studies with different designs and populations are needed.

    Abstract: Documents are tools of communication which are changing rapidly in nature and quantity. Prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, digital formats have become ubiquitous. However, documents and documentation have a long pre-digital history. In seeking to survey document types and features, two major online journal databases from the Web of Science database were analysed over a 30-year period to 2020. Documents were classified into types and the (arbitrary) features of format, dimension, production, administration and distribution. Such tabulation of journal documents has not been undertaken previously. As the sampled journals covered a range of fields, the types and features of documentation in selected specialised areas were included. Digitalisation of documentation, especially of rare documents, has accelerated in recent times, contributing to the retention of knowledge and its rapid dissemination, despite the accompanying disadvantages of the digital age, with its largely unregulated social media. Classifying and describing the diversity of existing documents is a major task and we have initiated this process by analysing two scientific databases.

    Abstract: Social robots may become an innovative means to improve the well-being of individuals. Earlier research has shown that people easily self-disclose to a social robot, even in cases where it was unintended by the designers. We report on an experiment considering self-disclosing in a diary journal or to a social robot after negative mood induction. An off-the-shelf robot was complemented with our in-house developed AI chatbot, which could talk about ‘hot topics’ after training it with thousands of entries on a complaint website. We found that people who felt strongly negative after being exposed to shocking video footage benefited the most from talking to our robot, rather than writing down their feelings. For people less affected by the treatment, a confidential robot chat or writing a journal page did not differ significantly. We discuss emotion theory in relation to robotics and possibilities for an application in design (the emoji-enriched ‘talking stress ball’). We also underline the importance of otherwise disregarded outliers in a data set of therapeutic nature.
