Abstract: Standards for products, processes and management systems are important tools for the much-needed sustainable transformation of the built environment. With standards, we refer to documents coming from standardisations bodies such as ASTM/ANSI (USA), BSI (UK), CEN (Europe), and ISO (global). The purpose is to investigate the role standards play in current research to exemplify various ways CIB and standardisation bodies can combine efforts for a sustainable transformation of the built environment (BE). Scientific journal articles were identified though literature review. The paper focuses on the building’s use and operation phase and especially the new Facility Management (FM) standards (ISO 41000 series) developed by the technical committee ISO/TC267. Our findings are based on a closer analysis of 10 journal articles from 2010-2021 after identifying 198 relevant articles. The articles refer to a broad range of standards which proves the relevance of standards in building research. There are no proves of how research has influenced standards, only examples of research aiming to enhance standards. Improving and implementing international FM standards is a driver to improve the BE sustainability. CIB and the standardisation bodies have an important role to accelerate the societal transition processes and contributing to society’s demands of sustainability and resilience.

Abstract: With the increasing ecological environment problems such as soil erosion and wind and sandification in recent years, mankind has realized the necessity and the importance of protecting the environment, and has begun to study this problem continuously, hoping to find an effective solution to the ecological environment management, so that human development can maintain a balance with nature. In this environment, many disciplines have come into being, and soil and water protection is one of them. Soil erosion (also known as soil erosion) is a global environmental problem, and it is of great significance to control soil erosion as one of the measures to improve the overall ecological environment. “Digital soil and water culture” has become the inevitable trend of the modernization and information development of soil and water, and “computer-aided design technology” as its component is being widely used in soil and water science research, planning, design, construction and management. Therefore, through the analysis of the examples of computer-aided design applied accurately in soil and water protection drawing, this paper aims to further improve and pay attention to the research of the basic technology of “digital soil and water protection”, so as to lay the foundation for the comprehensive meeting of the “digital information” society. The computer-aided design has great advantages in the monitoring of large-scale ecological resources and environment, and has the advantages of fast, intuitive and wide monitoring area, so this paper explores the application of computer-aided design in soil and water conservation assessment.

Abstract: Sustainable finance is one of the latest financial ideas to solve contemporary global financial problems with an entrepreneurial spirit. This research aims to map international level sustainable finance studies indexed by Scopus using a bibliometric overview. The method used is bibliometrics and data analysis and visualization using the analyze search results feature on Scopus and VOSViewer applications. Research data of 152 documents were published from 1992 to 2019 obtained from the Scopus database. The results showed that the most productive countries, research institutions and individual researchers in the publication of sustainable finance studies were the United Kingdom; Rheinisch-Westfalische Technische Hochschule Aachen; and Haigh, M. The most amount of funding sponsors in international publications in sustainable finance studies was the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The most intensive subject areas and publication sources in sustainable finance studies were Business, Management and Accounting, and Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment. There were five collaborative researchers’ group patterns. This research proposes a convergence axis classification consisting of sustainable finance studies to characterize the body of knowledge generated from three decades of studies: Bank, Country, Finance, Sustainable, and Policy, abbreviated as BCFSP themes.

Abstract: Against the backdrops of severe global climate changes and over-exploitation of physical developments around the world, the overall ecosystems, which comprise of human, animal, natural elements, and the interactions between them, were challenged by significant problems. From the likes of land subsidence, global warming, sea level rise, to the seasonal floods and drought, all are subject to sustainable development concerns. At both the global and local scale, stakeholders - ranging from governments to communities are encouraged to promote sustainability and environmental management actions that involve managing the oceans, freshwater systems, land and atmosphere, and the people and surrounding life according to sustainability principles. The global agenda like Energy Transition Policies, Environmental, Social, and Governance, and the Sustainable Development Goals emerged and facilitated global initiations and collaborations towards sustainable actions. In this regard, the spread of knowledge, the reproduction of innovation, and the mutual learning of tackling the issues are crucial to strengthening the global sustainable development actions and improving the stakeholders’ capacity to support the commitment, which the academic conferences and seminars play an important role. The International Conference on Environmental Management (ICEM) is one of the realizations. The event was based in Surakarta, Indonesia, on 24 th September 2022. The event was a part of the biannual academic forum initiated by the Environmental Research Centre (PPLH), the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). The event was a commitment of PPLH, UNS, to actively participate in the promotion of knowledge development and sharing on sustainable development issues both locally and globally. The ICEM comprehensively addresses sustainable development activities that relate on both land, water, air, and the society. The conference covers 14 issues from climate change to environmental pollution. Not only did facilitate discussions in terms of the phenomena and problems, the conference also allowed various discussions on sustainability-led public policy and environmental management affairs. The purpose of ICEM is to bring together all academics, researchers, and practitioners to reflect upon the current state of global sustainability issues and to seek mutual understanding and sharing on solutions to cope with the emerging environmental problems as well as to adapt with the on-going sustainability-led policies and actions. Nevertheless, the ICEM expects the knowledge gained from the event can be used as the fundamental sources of effective, integrated, and innovative decision making and actions towards sustainable development. The ICEM was successfully held in time involving approximately 250 people from across the globe which represent various backgrounds consisting of environmental researchers, environmental engineers, lecturers, environmental practitioners, urban planners, activists, government elements/policy makers, as well as students and members of the public who concern on sustainability issues. Within the duration of 3 (three) months, from July to September, the ICEM facilitated (1) the arrangement of key speakers and keynote speakers with relevant expertise and international reputations, (2) the production of materials, leaflets and information, as well as (3) the design of seminars and thematic discussions and publications in proceedings. The final output of ICEM is published in the IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science and Journal of Soil Science - Journal of Soil Science and Agroclimatology. Both publication bodies are well recognized and indexed by Scopus. The implementation of ICEM activities is supported by superior and professional committees who are members of the PPLH UNS. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ICEM was held virtually through a virtual platform Zoom Meeting hosted by the ICEM committee in collaboration with the Information Technology Team of Universitas Sebelas Maret. The majority of participants of ICEM which consist of Keynote Speakers, Invited Speakers, Paper Presenters, and General Participants as well as Audiences who registered through an online system (www.icem.uns.ac.id) were engaged in active sharing and discussions. Four keynote speakers delivered their materials, which include Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim bin Abdul Samad from the University Putra Malaysia who provided a general overview of the sustainability issues in Asia, Professor Dr. rer.nat. Junun Sartohadi from Universitas Gadjah Mada who shared their research on the current state and the dynamics of sustainability issues and rapid environmental changes, Indonesia, Dr. Wesam Al Madhoun from Gaza University of Palestine who discussed the issue from a case study of Palestine and its policy making complications, and Professor Dr. Pranoto from the host university, Universitas Sebelas Maret, who shared his insights on potential sustainability efforts at the local level through household-based technology. A total of 113 presenters were registered at the event and presented their material at the next session after the keynote. The presenters also submitted a total of 113 papers, all of which reported and discussed their findings and recommendations for action to promote sustainable environmental management. A total of 107 papers could be further reviewed for publication in proceedings, while the rest chose to be submitted to journals that collaborated with this conference. After the review and editing process, a total of 55 selected papers were then categorized as accepted manuscripts and could be considered for publication in this IOP series. The locus of research interest varied from issues, practices, innovations, policies, and action plans of sustainability-led topics on land, waters, coastal and marine waters, air, forest, river basin, waste, land use, planning and community development. The cases are also widely distributed from across Indonesia with some of them are scoped within the Asia-Pacific, providing a rich of case studies and policy learning that is useful for knowledge development on sustainability issues. In this opportunity, we would like to convey our gratitude and appreciation to all reviewers for their commitment to invest their time and expertise in making this proceeding realized and be able to be published. We are also grateful to all the committee members for the continued works from the beginning to the end of the ICEM conference. PREFACE: 2 nd International Scientific Conference of Water- 2023 (ISCW-2023) The ISCW-2023 conference intends to bring together junior and senior, international and national researchers, scientists and scholars interesting in the field of water harvesting and desertification combat. We think the conference will offer an excellent opportunity for networking with other members and exchange knowledge and explore the most recent developments in the sustainable development of water resources and ecosystems, management of water resources in arid and semi-arid regions, modern techniques for water harvesting and conserving in dry regions, in addition to water quality and biodiversity. ISCW-2023 is a prestigious event organized by the Center of Upper Euphrates Basin Development, University of Anbar, with a motivation to provide an excellent international platform for academicians, researchers, engineers, industrial participants and budding students around the world to share their research results with the global experts. We cordially invited participants from all over the world who wish to share their best practices and research findings in ISCW-2023 and enlighten their new ideas to make this event growing from strength to strength. Participants will be offered the opportunity to contribute to the conference in various roles: they can discuss keynotes, produce a poster presentation and submit full research or review articles. Articles submitted to the conference should report original high-quality and previously unpublished results. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submitted articles will be subjected to a double-blind peer-review process. Novelty, relevancy, language standards, references, and many other factors are considered for the evaluation process. The conference nominated Prof. Nadhir Al-Ansari (Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Lulea University of Technology, Arab Open Academy in Denmark), Prof. Dr. Cj (Coen) (Ristsema Chairholder Soil Physics and Land Management, Washington University & Research), and Dr. Mohamed Ouessar (Applied Biological Sciences, Laboratory of Eremology and Combating Desertification, Arid Zone Research Institute) as keynote speakers. ISCW-2023 will be held basically via physical attendance (In-person) for two days 15 th - 16 th March 2023 in Ramadi, Anbar, Iraq.
