Event(s):
Kushu_RK12 * Latitude: 45.433000 * Longitude: 141.033000 * Location: Rebun Island, Japan * Method/Device: Composite Core (COMPCORE) * Comment: Lake Kushu coring was performed on the ice-cover, in the central part of the lake (N) 45.4315° (E) 141.0387°. Two parallel sediment cores RK12-01 and RK12-02 were drilled within a couple of meters distance using a hydro-pressure thin-walled piston corer. The overlap of the parallel cores allows for the sampling of a continuous ca. 19.5 m long composite sequence.
