Comment:
Areal rates were calculated from 15N2 uptake measurements for at least four depths (three replicates per depth) and integrated from surface to 150 m depth. Also presented are isotopic compositions (d15N) of particulate matter averaged from non-spiked samples at the four depths (n= 8 per month).
