Accumulation of aldehyd intermediate by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in growing culture on tetradecanol

  • Published:
Archiv für Mikrobiologie Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

In the oxidation of tetradecanol by Pseudomonas aeruginosa tetradecanal was accumulated as semicarbazon and was identified as 2,4-Dinitrophenylhydrazon.

This confirms the possibility of production of an intermediate aldehyde out of the growing culture.
