{[VIV14VV4O42(H2O)][Ni(C4N3H13)(C4N3H14)]4(H2O)6}4+: a novel nanosized calix-type polyoxovanadate cation

Abstract

An organic–inorganic hybrid solid material (C4N3H16)2{[VIV14VV4O42(H2O)][Ni(C4N3H13)(C4N3H14)]4(H2O)6}[HVIV14VV4O42(PO4)] 1 which is constructed from a novel nanosized calix-type polyoxovanadate {[VIV14VV4O42(H2O)][Ni(C4N3H13)(C4N3H14)]4(H2O)6}4+ cation and a hexa-capping Keggin structural anion [HVIV14VV4O42(PO4)]10 has been synthesized. Structural analysis indicates the nanosized calix-type V–O–Ni cluster cation is filled with six water molecules.
