Abstract

The theory of clustering Poisson process which generates a 1/fα spectral pattern has been discussed first by Grüneis and later by Grüneis and Baiter. Such a model has been applied to the burst noise phenomenon observed by us in the reverse biased emitter-base junctions of Germanium transistors of type AC 128. The spectral pattern of the burst noise signal has been discussed. The present work is the first quantitative confirmation of this theory.
