Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images of herpes simplex virus (HSV)-2 particles subjected to mock or monogalactosyl diacylglyceride (MGDG) treatment.

Viral particles released from cells infected with HSV-2 were treated with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (A) or MGDG at a concentration of 50 μg/ml (B and C) for 30 min and observed with a JEM ARM 1300 microscope.
