Nitrative Stress Participates in Endothelial Progenitor Cell Injury in Hyperhomocysteinemia

Assay of plasma homocysteine level.

The plasma homocysteine level of rats was significantly increased after they were fed with 2.5% methionine diet for 16 weeks. Treatment with ONOO- scavenger FeTMPyP decreased the homocysteine level. Data were expressed as mean±SD; n = 6–10. **P<0.01 versus Control; #P<0.05 versus HHcy. Control: normal rats; HHcy: hyperhomocysteinemia; FeTMPyP: ONOO- scavenger.
