Zusammenfassung

Von allen fernwandernden Singvögeln der Palaearktis, deren Mauserweise schon untersucht worden ist, weichenAnthus campestris undAnthus richardi dadurch ab, daß manche Individuen die Erneuerung der Schwungfedern vor dem Herbstzug unterbrechen und erst im Winterquartier beenden. (Dieselbe Besonderheit fanden wir beiSylvia communis icterops). Anthus richardi neigt dazu, bei der Mauser der Schwungfedern die geregelte Reihenfolge aufzulösen, die (fast?) alle anderen Singvögel genau einhalten.

Summary

Some (many?) adult specimens ofAnthus campestris andAnthus richardi leave the breeding area before replacing all worn primaries, secondaries and rectrices by new ones. In such a case, they migrate to their winter quarters with a mixture of new and old feathers, all fully grown, and it is only there that the “postnuptial“ moult is continued and concluded.

InAnthus richardi a strong tendency has been found to deviate from the regular descending sequence which is followed by almost all other palearctic Passeriformes while moulting the ten primaries.
