Salmonella spp. were isolated from chicken cecal contents [4.2%(18/425)] 1, domestic chicken meat [8.1%(16/198)], and imported chickens [17.6%(12/68)]. S. infantis was most frequently encountered (47.8%); 86.4% of this speciesdemonstrated resistance to multiple antibiotics. Though not found in domestic poultry, S. Enteritidis was isolated from 14.7% (10/68) of imported chickens.
