Abstract
In this research the changes in the supramolecular structure of distilled water during the germination of a seed in water were studied. We used three methods: gravimetry, precision thermal analysis, and electron work-function measurements. In the first stage of seed germination, viz., seed swelling, the seed extracts coherent domains from the water; here, due to the transition of coherent domains that are adsorbed in nanocavities into a stable state, the flow of electromagnetic energy occurs. In the second stage of the experiment, viz., the appearance of the shoot, the flow of biophotons occurs, as shown by the increased electron work function of the water. A hypothetical model of the process of marrow-seed germination is suggested.
