    Notizen: Abstract. We study the coherent quantum tunneling of magnetization, for example, in a biaxial molecular magnet with dissipation of the environment which results in the suppression of the tunneling and therefore the decoherence of superposition of macroscopic quantum states in terms of the general spin-boson model. The degree of entanglement between the magnet and the environment is evaluated explicitly with the help of reduced density matrix. We show an interesting relation that the degree of entanglement approaches maximum value when the coherent tunneling is suppressed completely.

    Notizen: Abstract. We investigate the quantum transport through a mesoscopic device consisting of an open, lateral double-quantum-dot coupled by time oscillating and spin-polarization dependent tunneling which results from a static magnetic field applied in the tunneling junction. In the presence of a non-vanishing bias voltage applied to two attached macroscopic leads both spin and charge currents are driven through the device. We demonstrate that the spin and charge currents are controllable by adjusting the gate voltage, the frequency of driving field and the magnitude of the magnetic field as well. An interesting resonance phenomenon is observed.

    Notizen: Abstract. The thermal entanglement in a two-qutrit system with two spins coupled by exchange interaction is investigated in terms of the measure of entanglement called “negativity”. It is found that the thermal entanglement is present and evolvements symmetrically between both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange couplings with the temperature. Moreover the critical temperature at which the negativity vanishes increases with the exchange coupling constant J. From the temperature and magnetic field dependences we demonstrate that the temperature and the magnetic field can affect the feature of the thermal entanglement significantly.
