Description: An illustrated key to the genera and subgenera of the Alysiini (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Alysiinae) from China is presented. Three genera new for China are reported: Adelurola Strand, 1924, Anisocyrta Foerster, 1863, and Pentapleura Foerster, 1863. The total for China is 26 genera of Alysiini and an additional seven subgenera (excluding the nominal subgenera, which are included in the total of genera). The known Chinese species are listed under each genus and the biology is summarised. Separatatus sinicus (Zheng, Chen & Yang, 2012) and Grammospila eurys (Chen & Wu, 1994) are new combinations. Regetus Papp, 1999, and Adelphenaldis Fischer, 2003, are new synonyms of Eusynaldis Zaykov & Fischer, 1982. In addition, Eusynaldis Zaykov & Fischer and Synaldis Foerster, 1863, are treated as subgenera of Aspilota Foerster, 1863, and Dinotrema Foerster, 1863, respectively. An aberrant species of Separatatus Chen & Wu, 1994, S. parallelus sp. n., is described from Yunnan and Hainan.

One new species (A. hemirufa) from Spain is described. The following species are synonymised: Agathis longicauda Kokujev, 1895, A. albanica Fischer, 1957, A. syriaca Fischer, 1957, A. caucasica Tobias, 1963, and A. taiwanensis Chou & Sharkey, 1989, with A. anglica Marshall, 1885; A. propinqua Kokujev, 1895, A. jakowlewi Kokujev, 1895, and A. anchisiades Nixon, 1986, with A. assimilis Kokujev, 1895; A. achterbergi Nixon, 1986, with A. breviseta Nees, 1814; A. schmiedeknechti Kokujev, 1895, A. meridionellae Fischer, 1957, A. albicostellae Fischer, 1966, and A. artemisiana Fischer, 1966, with A. fuscipennis (Zetterstedt, 1838); A. zaykovi Nixon, 1986, with A. montana Shestakov, 1932; A. kasachstanica Tobias, 1963, and A. nixoni Belokobylskij & Jervis, 1998, with A. nigra Nees, 1814; A. simulatrix Kokujev, 1895, A. rufipes Ivanov, 1899, A. similis Shestakov, 1928, A. glabricollis Telenga, 1955, A. serratulae Tobias, 1963, A. lederi Fischer, 1968, and A. ariadne Nixon, 1986, with A. varipes Thomson, 1895; A. tenuipes Tobias, 1963, with A. gracilipes Hell\xc3\xa9n, 1956; A. tadzhica Telenga, 1955, and A. gilvus Papp, 1975, with A. syngenesiae Nees, 1814; A. genualis Marshall, 1898, with A. tibialis Nees, 1814. The tribe Microdini Ashmead, 1900 (= Eumicrodini Foerster, 1862) is synonymised with the tribe Agathidini Nees, 1814. Description: The cosmopolitan subfamily Blacinae Foerster (Braconidae) is revised with special reference to the Oriental and Australian species. Two new genera are described from Chile: Chalarope and Grypokeros. All known species are keyed, 53 new species are described and fully illustrated, seven new combinations, and five new synonyms are proposed. Lectotypes are designated for eight species. A cladistic analysis of the relationships between the (sub)genera of the subfamily is given and a cladogram is presented.

    Publication Date: 2024-01-12
Description: A phylogenetic analysis of the subfamilies of the family Braconidae Nees, 1812 is presented. The analysis employing 96 phylogenetically informative characters was performed using the computerized parsimony programmes PAUP and Hennig86. The cladograms obtained show that the Braconidae can be divided into three major groups of subfamilies. These are a lineage comprising the mainly ectoparasitic cyclostomes and relatives, and two advanced endoparasitic groups, both apparently derived from somewhere near the endoparasitic cyclostome subfamily Rogadinae Foerster, 1862 sensu stricto. As a result of the phylogenetic analysis subfamily rank is given to the Exothecinae Foerster, 1862 (including the Hormiini Foerster, 1862), the Rhyssalinae Foerster, 1862 (including the Pambolini Marshall, 1885), the Charmontinae van Achterberg, 1979, and the Microtypinae Sz\xc3\xa9pligeti, 1908. The tribes Meteorini Cresson, 1887 and Muesebeckiini Mason, 1969 are retained as tribes because this analysis did not provide conclusive arguments to separate these groups from the Euphorinae Foerster, 1862 sensu stricto and the Ichneutinae Foerster, 1862 sensu stricto, respectively. The limits of the subfamily Rogadinae Foerster, 1862 are narrowed to include only endoparasitic taxa.
