    Description: This work writen in French describes the Dutch zoological and hydrographic expedition to Indonesia from March 1899 to February 1900 which was headed by Max Carl Wilhelm Weber. During the expedition, Weber, has found manganese nodules on one spot between the islands of Letti and Timor, at a depth of 1224 metres, in a mud containing a strong proportion of terrigenous material, far from being a pelagic deposit as was expected by the preceeding results from J. Murray and others.
