Abstract: Our essay deals with narratives of social upheaval that act as vehicles for transgenerational memory transfer. We look at narratives of collectively experienced processes of emancipation and the subsequent possibility of remembering things not experienced firsthand under the prism of the political event of revolution understood as an inherently violent process (Arendt 1990). In this context, we inquire about postmemory along similar lines to those staked out by Marianne Hirsch, while also considering whether the term can be separated from trauma and linked to other emotional responses of comparable affective intensity. Memories of violence are frequently disjointed and impressionistic. The connection of fragments to a narrative context is often severed while the action of linking the threads into a coherent narrative faces vehement resistance. In principle, this is not different from the experience of violence in revolutions and their remembrance. However, narratives on revolution tend to exert a strong force of attraction upon their recipients. Considering the figures of cycle , linear progression , iteration , disruption and irreversibility as the time modes of revolution, we look at how these have enabled entirely new understandings of time since the nineteenth century. New forms of temporality, in turn, are entangled with the role displacement plays in the relationship between a transgenerational transfer of narratives and the construction of narrative time. In order to explore how a generation deals with the dominance (Hirsch 2012) of the narratives transmitted to them by the preceding one, we deal with two models in which affective states charged with both suffering and pleasure are developed into terms of cultural and literary theory: Bini Adamczak’s reading of desire as fetish in post-revolutionary Soviet Russia, and Svetlana Boym’s work on nostalgia as an emotional disposition characteristic for modernity. Taking into account that both models are more or less constructed by cultural practices, historical events, and transformations in the history of ideas, and thus cannot always be precisely distinguished from one another, we present two main narrative strategies: The reception of the stories of one generation by another involves either contracting the affective intensity of their narratives at the expense of linear time or expanding narrative time far beyond individual life spans. For our analysis we mainly refer to Rodolfo Usigli’s Ensayo de un crimen and Heinrich Heine’s Ludwig Börne: A Memorial as post memory narratives on revolution. We understand them as examples of each narrative strategy and as part of the dialectic of this way of remembering.

Abstract: MORDigital project aims to encode the selected editions of Diccionario de Lingua Portugueza by António de Morais Silva, first published in 1789. Our ultimate goals are, on the one hand, to promote accessibility to cultural heritage while fostering reusability and, on the other hand, to contribute towards a more significant presence of lexicographic digital content in Portuguese through open tools and standards. The Morais dictionary represents a significant legacy, since it marks the beginning of Portuguese dictionaries, having served as a model for all subsequent lexicographic production. The team follows a new paradigm in lexicography, which results from the convergence between lexicography, terminology, computational linguistics, and ontologies as an integral part of digital humanities and linked (open) data. In the Portuguese context, this research fills a gap concerning searchable online retrodigitized dictionaries, built on current standards and methodologies which promote data sharing and harmonization, namely TEI Lex-0. The team will further ensure the connection to other existing systems and lexical resources, particularly in the Portuguese-speaking world.

Abstract: Este trabalho analisa as propostas de intervenção apresentadas nas redações modelares do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) no ano de 2016.

Abstract: 〈 b 〉 〈 i 〉 Background: 〈 /i 〉 〈 /b 〉 The association between voice and body posture is consensual across the scientific literature and seems to be established both ways. Any changes in normal posture can influence the mechanisms of vocal production; on the other hand, vocal rehabilitation can influence posture. 〈 b 〉 〈 i 〉 Objectives: 〈 /i 〉 〈 /b 〉 This study aimed to evaluate the postural pattern in subjects with organic voice disorders before and after speech rehabilitation, using computerised dynamic posturography (CDP). 〈 b 〉 〈 i 〉 Methods: 〈 /i 〉 〈 /b 〉 In this prospective cohort study, 21 patients affected by dysphonia caused by benign vocal fold lesions, never treated with speech therapy/vocal training, were submitted to a posturographic analysis using CDP before and after vocal rehabilitation/therapy. Each patient underwent an accurate voice and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) anamnesis, a general ENT examination, a rigid and flexible laryngoscopy, a videolaryngostroboscopy, an acoustic voice analysis including aerodynamic evaluation, and a perceptual evaluation of voice using the Grade, Roughness, Breathiness, Asthenia, and Strain (GRBAS) scale and the Voice Handicap Index (VHI) questionnaire, before and after vocal therapy. Fifteen healthy age- and sex-matched volunteers were also submitted to a posturographic analysis on the day of recruitment and 4 weeks later. 〈 b 〉 〈 i 〉 Results: 〈 /i 〉 〈 /b 〉 All patients showed an improvement in voice quality after vocal training. The VHI decreased in all subjects, and the GRBAS scale showed a decrease in all parameters in each vowel (/a/, /i/, /e/) and in spontaneous speech ( 〈 i 〉 p 〈 /i 〉 & #x3c; 0.001 for all). Posturographic results showed an improvement in equilibrium score, in conditions 2–6 and composite score. Strategic analysis results showed an improvement in conditions 1–6. 〈 b 〉 〈 i 〉 Conclusions: 〈 /i 〉 〈 /b 〉 The posturographic analysis showed a significant difference in the visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive component of posture after voice therapy. These results showed that dysphonic patients changed their postural patterns after an effective voice treatment, with an improvement in postural performance. It seems like modifications of breathing pattern and voice production techniques led to objective and measurable postural changes.
