    Description / Table of Contents: Tetranuclear Tricarbonylrhenium Complexes with Oxygen-Containing Bridging LigandsThe reaction of either Re2 (CO)10 (1) or Re(CO)5Cl with water at 200°C gives tetrakis(tricarbonyl-μ3-hydroxo-rhenium), [Re(CO)3OH]4 (2). A pseudocubane structure without metal-metal bonds is proposed for 2 in which the Re(CO)3 groups are linked by triply-bridging OH ligands. Substitution of the hydrogen atoms in 2 leads to derivatives of the type [Re(CO)3OCH2R]4 (R = H (3a), CH3 (3b)). Deuteration of 2 in D2O/ether gives the adduct [Re(CO)3OD · O(C2H5)2]4 (4), while metallation with lithium results in the formation of the salt [Re(CO)3O-Li+]4 (5) which is only obtained for short periods in THF solution. Lewis bases (L) are attached to 2 through hydrogen bonds; the adducts [Re(CO)3OH y L]4 (L = tetrahydrofuran (6a), triphenylphosphine oxide (6b), tetraethylammonium bromide (6c) are very stable. The infrared and Raman spectra of 2 and its derivatives 3a, 4, and 6a-c are discussed.
    Notes: Die Umsetzung von Re2 (CO)10 oder Re(CO)5Cl mit Wasser bei 200°C führt zu Tetrakis(tricarbonyl-μ3-hydroxo-rhenium), [Re(CO)3OH]4 (2). Für 2 wird eine Pseudocuban-Struktur ohne Metall-Metall-Bindungen vorgeschlagen, in der die Re(CO)3-Gruppen über dreifach verbrückende OH-Liganden verknüpft sind. Durch Substitution der Wasserstoffatome in 2 entstehen Derivate des Typs [Re(CO)3OCH2R]4 (R = H (3a), CH3 (3b)). Die Deuterierung von 2 in D2O/Ether ergibt das Addukt [Re(CO)3OD · O(C2H5)2]4 (4); die Metallierung mit Lithium führt zum Salz [Re(CO)3O-Li+]4 (5), das jedoch nur kurzzeitig in THF-Lösung beständig ist. Lewis-Basen (L) werden über Wasserstoffbrücken an 2 angelagert; die Addukte [Re(CO)3OH · L]4 (L = Tetrahydrofuran (6a), Triphenylphosphinoxid (6b), Tetraethylammoniumbromid (6c)) sind sehr beständig. Die Infrarot- und Raman-Spektren von 2 und den Derivaten 3a, 4 und 6a-c werden diskutiert.
