Dicloran treatment of onion seeds either pelleted or as dust dressing resulted in an increase in yield of salad onions in field experiments. There were indications that the incidence of white rot was reduced as a result of this treatment. In laboratory and field experiments other chemicals were either less effective or phytotoxic.
