Abstract: To evaluate the prevalence and influencing factors of anxiety and depression symptoms in surgical nurses during the COVID‐19 epidemic in Anhui, China. Methods A cross‐sectional, multic'entre quantitative study was conducted among surgical nurses in Anhui province. SAS, SDS and SSRS scales were used for the investigation. Data were collected between 3 March 2020 to 19 March 2020. Results A total of 3,492 surgical nurses completed the survey. The average level of anxiety and depression of surgical nurses were higher than that of the Chinese norm. Levels of social support for surgical nurses were significantly negatively associated with the degree of anxiety and depression. Fertility status, participation in care for COVID‐19 patients, likelihood of being infected with COVID‐19 and social support were significantly influencing surgical nurses’ anxiety degree. Similarly, these characteristics were significantly associated with the odds of depression symptoms in surgical nurses. Conclusion These findings suggest that targeted psychological interventions to promote mental health of surgical nurses need to be immediately implemented.

Abstract: Lung cancer is the most prevalent malignancy in adults. Circular RNA (circRNA) circCPA4 (hsa_circ_0082374) is highly expressed in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The purpose of this study was to explore the role and mechanism of circCPA4 in lung cancer. Methods CircCPA4, linear CPA4, TGF‐β‐induced factor homeobox 2 (TGIF2), and microRNA‐214‐3p (miR‐214‐3p) levels were measured by real‐time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT‐qPCR). The protein levels of TGIF2, Beclin1, and p62 were assessed by western blot assay. Colony numbers, migration, invasion, apoptosis, and cell cycle progression were examined by colony formation, wound‐healing, transwell, and flow cytometry assays, respectively. The binding relationship between miR‐214‐3p and circCPA4 or TGIF2 was predicted by StarBase or TargetScan and then verified by a dual‐luciferase reporter, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP), and RNA pulldown assays. The biological role of circCPA4 on lung tumor growth was assessed by a xenograft tumor model in vivo, and TGIF2 and ki‐67 expression was assessed by immunohistochemistry. Results We determined that CircCPA4 and TGIF2 were increased, and miR‐214‐3p was decreased in lung cancer tissues and cells. Functionally, circCPA4 knockdown could suppress colony formation, migration, invasion, cell cycle progression, and expedite apoptosis of lung cancer cells in vitro. Mechanically, circCPA4 could regulate TGIF2 expression by sponging miR‐214‐3p. In addition, circCPA4 deficiency inhibited the tumor growth in lung cancer in the mouse model. Conclusions CircCPA4 could act as a sponge of miR‐214‐3p to upregulate TGIF2 expression, thereby promoting the progression of lung cancer cells. These findings suggested underlying therapeutic targets for the treatment of lung cancer.

Abstract: Electromagnetic interference (EMI) on communication systems of unban rail transit can hardly be clarified because of complicated factors around railways. This paper aims to target this issue and extend experimental and theoretical analysis. Design/methodology/approach This paper take the Nanjing Dashengguan Bridge as an example, because it carries the most tracks in the world and bears three kinds of trains running through, providing a perfect complex environment. First, it investigates the three communication systems, terrestrial trunked radio, communications-based train control (CBTC) and passenger information system (PIS) that Nanjing Metro uses, and select appropriate devices accordingly. Second, it establishes a system level platform and conduct three tests to analyze their respective operating principles and performance difference under common electromagnetic environments. Third, it adopts theoretical formula to verify test results. Findings The experiment results and theoretical analysis mutually corroborate each other and present practical recommendations: an 8 m or more distance between two tracks will ensure no obvious EMI created by a passing train on communication systems; two certain communication systems should not share the same frequency band; interference level is more related to field strength than weathers and building materials; and CBTC DSSS waveguide mode as well as PIS LTE mode are preferred. Originality/value This research also provides a practical method of investigating EMI for other complex situations.
