Abstract: Online purchasing is increasing because customers are shifting to digital wallets and digital money, as these services are provided by different microfinance and other commercial banking sectors, and different online brands are working in Pakistan to support environmental sustainability. The objective of this study was to demonstrate to what extent low distribution charges and low transit time is contributing to impulsive buying when customers can use digital money in Pakistan. The study was conducted using survey research. Importantly, 650 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents with a received response rate of 40%. The study found that digital money (e-wallet) is positively associated with impulsive buying. Moreover, the moderating role of distribution charges and low transit time has been significant in impulsive buying has been significant. This study concludes that low transit time and load distribution charges must be considered by online businesses and brands working in Pakistan to ensure productivity and capture a larger market share of impulsive buying in Pakistan. Also, the current study contributes a theoretical framework to the knowledge and literature related to impulsive buying. The scope of this study is limited to the online businesses and brands that are working to provide products and services to the Pakistani people with the help of digital money and digital transactions. Significantly, this study provides significant future directions that are important to consider for upcoming studies to focus on and contribute to effectively.

Abstract: The quality of output from a process, to a substantial extent, depends upon quality of the input. The performance of an educational institution badly suffers when it faces a ‘wear out’ in the quality of its in-take. Sometimes it is a deficient induction criterion due to which inappropriate elements hold majority in admitted population of an institution. In this paper, the case of a business education institute, which has been facing a similar problem, is discussed. The authors construct various propositions concerning the relevant ‘concepts of interest’ and then gauge their truth value through a survey of archival records of admitted students with an intent of establishing a cause-and-effect relationship between admission policy and the students’ academic performance.

Abstract: The use of plastic bags has long been a global concern due to its hazardous contributions to the environment. Firms, governments, and special interest groups (like Greenpeace) have always earnestly ventured, through their individual or collaborative initiatives, strategies and/or (demarketing) campaigns, to discourage the use of plastic bags to ensure a healthy and sustainable planet. However, such initiatives are least likely to produce desired results if the most important stakeholder i.e., consumers do not perceive greater value from such a reduction in usage of plastic bags. Considering the same an important precondition for building positive intentions and consequent behaviors to reduce plastic bag usage and a complementor of demarketing efforts of the stakeholders, the primary purpose of this study has been to investigate the role of consumers’ green orientation, environmental knowledge, and perceived instrumentality of demarketing efforts in enhancing the perceived value of plastic usage curtailment. Based on PLS-based structural equation modelling performed on a data set comprising 977 consumers, it has been found that the three antecedents namely green consumption orientation, recycling attitudes and demarketing efforts have direct positive effects on the outcome construct. Besides, the study also found that the effect of green consumption orientation on perceived value of plastic usage reduction is significantly and positively moderated by consumers’ recycling attitudes and their perceived effectiveness of demarketing efforts. The findings offer some useful insights and implications to the theory, practice and the policy making for boosting pro-environmental behaviors.

Abstract: Research on customer switch back intention in the telecommunication sector provides insights into customer behaviour, identifies key drivers, assesses satisfaction levels, evaluates competitors, enhances customer retention strategies, and enables predictive analytics. Such research is crucial for telecommunication companies to understand their customers better, improve their offerings, and effectively retain customers in a highly competitive market. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of post-purchase regret, relational bonds, and prior experience on switch back intentions among prepaid mobile subscribers. Additionally, it examines the moderating role of the worth of win-back offer on this relationship. The study employs Attribution Theory as a theoretical framework to develop and test the research model. Data were collected from 345 prepaid mobile subscribers, and the structural equation modelling technique was used for data analysis. Results indicate that post-purchase regret, relational social capital, and prior experience have a significant impact on switch back intentions. The study also finds that the worth of win-back offer moderates the relationship between prior experience and switch back intentions. However, it does not moderate the relationship between post-purchase regret and switch back intentions. These findings provide valuable insights for mobile service providers to understand the factors that influence customers' switch back intentions and to develop effective win-back strategies..

Abstract: The adoption of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) has witnessed a significant surge in recent years. NFTs are digital assets that operate on blockchain technology and are traded using cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Tezos, Solana, among others. However, there is limited knowledge regarding the economics of NFTs and people's perspectives and experiences with them. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to present diverse understandings of NFT gaming and digital marketing, analyze the benefits and drawbacks of NFTs, and explore their potential in the metaverse. This study utilizes a qualitative investigation approach involving nine respondents from the NFT, blockchain, and gaming communities. The research employs case study and descriptive analysis methods. The conclusion drawn from this study recommends the utilization of NFTs and expects readers to find this research beneficial. NFTs represent digital assets that are uniquely identifiable and traded using blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Despite their popularity and increasing trading prices, there is a lack of comprehensive understanding regarding the economics of NFTs, as well as people's perspectives and experiences with them. This research aims to address this gap by providing diverse insights into NFT gaming and digital marketing, exploring the benefits and drawbacks of NFTs, and investigating their potential in the metaverse. The study employs a qualitative investigation methodology and involves nine participants from the NFT, blockchain, and gaming communities. The research utilizes case study and descriptive analysis methods to gather and analyze data. The study examines the impressions and experiences of individuals engaged in crypto games. The results indicate that most players dedicate 2 to 6 hours per day to playing crypto games. Moreover, it is found that the time required recovering one's investment in these games ranges from 1 to 90 days. The findings also reveal that players are concerned about the presence of potential economic instability in a volatile market. Additionally, issues such as value manipulation, privacy, security, and trust related to the design and utilization of NFTs are highlighted. Understanding the cryptocurrency market entails understanding the motivations of individuals who engage in paid games, as their interests are crucial for any government initiatives aimed at generating revenue. The study recommends that players explore the NFT Pakistan game.

Abstract: Food waste has attained considerable attention globally during the last decade, owing to its environmental and social impacts. Consumers’ low preference to purchase edible fruits and vegetables with unusual appearance, discoloration, etc., technically referred to as suboptimal food, significantly contributes to food waste. Consumers are more likely to reject suboptimal food while purchasing food, resulting in unnecessary food waste. However, consumers’ perceptions of whether or not to purchase suboptimal food are still unidentified. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to explore the factors influencing as motivators (reason for) and barriers (reason against) in explaining the consumers’ purchase intention toward suboptimal food using Behavioral Reasoning Theory (BRT). This study conducts a questionnaire survey from 650 consumers using a purposive sampling method. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is used to analyze the data. The findings support the proposed theoretical framework and confirm its robustness in exploring the factors influencing the consumers’ purchase intention of suboptimal food. The findings suggest that the factors including values, reason for (environmental concern and price consciousness), reason against (quality inferior and unappealing appearance), and attitude have direct and indirect influence on consumers’ purchase intention of suboptimal food. Based on the results, the study highlights several insights for policymakers, marketers, business professionals, and practitioners to promote suboptimal food in order to reduce food waste.

Abstract: In a developing nation such as Pakistan, the textile sector is crucial for employment creation and poverty reduction. As a result of digitization, standard industrial operating processes have altered. The study, which is built on resource-based theory, seeks to determine how the digital supply chain (comprised of blockchain, the internet of things, and big data analytics) influences operational performance. In addition, the relationship between the innovative climate and the operational success of the digital supply chain has been analyzed. Data was collected from 270 respondents, i.e., 65 top level managers and 205 middle level managers. The results indicate that the digitization of the supply chain, which includes the application of big data analytics, the internet of things, and blockchain, greatly enhances operational performance. The innovation climate has not been proven to affect operational performance or digitalization. At the end theoretical and practical implication are highlighted.
