    Abstract: Postprandial lipemia plays an important role in the formation, occurrence, and development of atherosclerosis, and it is closely related to coronary heart disease and other diseases involving endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammation, and other mechanisms. Therefore, it has become a focus area for further research. The studies on postprandial lipemia mainly include TG, TRL, VLDL, CM, and remnant cholesterol. Diurnal triglyceride patterns and postprandial hyperlipidemia are very relevant and are now insufficiently covered. The possible mechanisms between postprandial lipemia and cardiovascular disease have been reviewed in this article by referring to relevant literature in recent years. The research progress on the effects of postprandial lipemia on endothelial function, oxidative stress, and inflammation is highlighted. The intervention of postprandial lipemia is discussed. Non-medicinal intervention such as diet and exercise improves postprandial lipemia. As medicinal intervention, statin, fibrate, ezetimibe, omega-3 fatty acids, and niacin have been found to improve postprandial lipid levels. Novel medications such as pemafibrate, PCSK9, and apoCIII inhibitors have been the focus of research in recent years. Gut microbiota is closely related to lipid metabolism, and some studies have indicated that intestinal microorganisms may affect lipid metabolism as environmental factors. Whether intervention of gut microbiota can reduce postprandial lipemia, and therefore against AS, may be worthy of further study.

    Abstract: Due to the outstanding performance of deep neural networks (DNNs), many researchers have begun to transfer deep learning techniques to their fields. To detect algorithmically generated domains (AGDs) generated by domain generation algorithm (DGA) in botnets, a long short-term memory (LSTM)-based DGA detector has achieved excellent performance. However, the previous DNNs have found various inherent vulnerabilities, so cyberattackers can use these drawbacks to deceive DNNs, misleading DNNs into making wrong decisions. Backdoor attack as one of the popular attack strategies strike against DNNs has attracted widespread attention in recent years. In this paper, to cheat the LSTM-based DGA detector, we propose BadDGA, a backdoor attack against the LSTM-based DGA detector. Specifically, we offer four backdoor attack trigger construction methods: TLD-triggers, Ngram-triggers, Word-triggers, and IDN-triggers. Finally, we evaluate BadDGA on ten popular DGA datasets. The experimental results show that under the premise of 1‰ poisoning rate, our proposed backdoor attack can achieve a 100% attack success rate to verify the effectiveness of our method. Meanwhile, the model’s utility on clean data is influenced slightly.

    Abstract: Recent methods of extracting relational triples mainly focus on the overlapping problem and achieve considerable performance. Most previous approaches extract triples solely conditioned on context words, but ignore the potential relations among the extracted entities, which will cause incompleteness in succeeding Knowledge Graphs’ (KGs) construction. Since relevant triples give a clue for establishing implicit connections among entities, we propose a Triple Relation Network (Trn) to jointly extract triples, especially handling extracting implicit triples. Specifically, we design an attention-based entity pair encoding module to identify all normal entity pairs directly. To construct implicit connections among these extracted entities in triples, we utilize our triple reasoning module to calculate relevance between two triples. Then, we select the top-K relevant triple pairs and transform them into implicit entity pairs to predict the corresponding implicit relations. We utilize a bipartite matching objective to match normal triples and implicit triples with the corresponding labels. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method on two public benchmarks, and our proposed model significantly outperforms previous strong baselines.

    Abstract: To investigate the mechanism of Huannao Yicong Decoction (HYD) extract on improving of learning memory of transgenic amyloid precursor protein (APP)/presenilin 1 (PS1) mice, we randomly divided 60 transgenic APP/PS1 mice of 3 months old into 4 groups: the model group, the Donepezil group, the HYD-L group, and the HYD-H group, with 15 C57BL/6J mice of the same genetic background as the control group. These mice were gavaged for 6 months in a row. The results showed that the latency was significantly shortened and the number of passing through the original platform was increased. HYD extract can increase the amount of neurons and improve the morphological structure of Nissl body obviously. The γ -secretase activity and the expression of phosphorylated APP, A β 1-40, and A β 1-42 in hippocampal CA1 were significantly decreased. The expressions of protein and mRNA of PEN-2 and CREB in hippocampal were significantly downregulated. These results demonstrated that HYD extract can improve the memory ability of transgenic APP/PS1 mice, which was related to the protection of neurons and structure of Nissl body, reducing cleavage of APP and production of A β and inhibiting the activity of γ -secretase by decreasing CREB activity because of downregulated expression of PEN-2.

    Abstract: Individual differences have been detected in individuals with opioid use disorders (OUD) in rehabilitation following protracted abstinence. Recent studies suggested that prediction models were effective for individual-level prognosis based on neuroimage data in substance use disorders (SUD). Aims This prospective cohort study aimed to assess neuroimaging biomarkers for individual response to protracted abstinence in opioid users using connectome-based predictive modelling (CPM). Methods One hundred and eight inpatients with OUD underwent structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scans at baseline. The Heroin Craving Questionnaire (HCQ) was used to assess craving levels at baseline and at the 8-month follow-up of abstinence. CPM with leave-one-out cross-validation was used to identify baseline networks that could predict follow-up HCQ scores and changes in HCQ (HCQ follow-up −HCQ baseline) . Then, the predictive ability of identified networks was tested in a separate, heterogeneous sample of methamphetamine individuals who underwent MRI scanning before abstinence for SUD. Results CPM could predict craving changes induced by long-term abstinence, as shown by a significant correlation between predicted and actual HCQ follow-up (r=0.417, p 〈 0.001) and changes in HCQ (negative: r=0.334, p=0.002;positive: r=0.233, p=0.038). Identified craving-related prediction networks included the somato-motor network (SMN), salience network (SALN), default mode network (DMN), medial frontal network, visual network and auditory network. In addition, decreased connectivity of frontal-parietal network (FPN)-SMN, FPN-DMN and FPN-SALN and increased connectivity of subcortical network (SCN)-DMN, SCN-SALN and SCN-SMN were positively correlated with craving levels. Conclusions These findings highlight the potential applications of CPM to predict the craving level of individuals after protracted abstinence, as well as the generalisation ability; the identified brain networks might be the focus of innovative therapies in the future.

    Abstract: Previous studies have suggested that maternal exposure to air pollution might affect term birth weight. However, the conclusions are controversial. Birth data of all term newborns born in Xi’an city of Shaanxi, China, from 2015 to 2018 and whose mother lived in Xi’an during pregnancy were selected form the Birth Registry Database. And the daily air quality data of Xi’an city was collected from Chinese Air Quality Online Monitoring and Analysis Platform. Generalized additive models (GAM) and 2-level binary logistic regression models were used to estimate the effects of air pollution exposure on term birth weight, the risk term low birth weight (TLBW), and macrosomia. Finally, 321521 term newborns were selected, including 4369(1.36%) TLBW infants and 24,960 (7.76%) macrosomia. The average pollution levels of PM 2.5 , PM 10 , and NO 2 in Xi’an city from 2015 to 2018 were higher than national limits. During the whole pregnancy, maternal exposure to PM 2.5 , PM 10 , SO 2 , and CO all significantly reduced the term birth weight and increased the risk of TLBW. However, NO 2 and O 3 exposure have significantly increased the term birth weight, and O 3 even increased the risk of macrosomia significantly. Those effects were also observed in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. But during the third trimester, high level of air quality index (AQI) and maternal exposure to PM 2.5 , PM 10 , SO 2 , NO 2 , and CO increased the term birth weight and the risk of macrosomia, while O 3 exposure was contrary to this effect. The findings suggested that prenatal exposure to air pollution might cause adverse impacts on term birth weight, and the effects varied with trimesters and pollutants, which provides further pieces of evidence for the adverse effects of air pollution exposure in heavy polluted-area on term birth weight.

    Abstract: Background: Halo-gravity traction is a commonly used clinical intervention to reduce surgical risk in patients with scoliosis before surgical correction. Some previous studies have focused on the application of halo-gravity traction on patients with severe spinal deformity and pulmonary insufficiency, but the overall effect of halo-gravity traction has not been fully understood. The object of the present study was to perform a meta-analysis exploring the efficacy of preoperative halo-gravity traction on radiographic measurement and pulmonary function in severe scoliosis patients with pulmonary insufficiency. Methods: We searched the medical works of literature completed before January 17, 2021, in the databases of Pubmed, Embase, and Cochrane Library. Studies that quantitatively analyzed the effects of halo-gravity traction on the deformity and pulmonary functions of patients with severe scoliosis were included. Two researchers independently conducted the literature search, data extraction, and quality assessment. We used the Review Manager Software (version 5.4) for statistical analysis and data analysis. Mean difference (MD) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated to evaluate the effects of halo-gravity traction. Results: Seven studies involving 189 patients received halo-gravity traction therapy preoperatively were analyzed in our study. Preoperative halo-gravity traction significantly ameliorated the degree of deformity in severe scoliosis patients with pulmonary insufficiency, especially reduced coronal Cobb angle and sagittal Cobb angle effectively [mean deviation (MD) = 2 7.28 (95%CI 21.16–33.4), p & lt; 0.001; MD = 22.02 (95%CI 16.8–27.23), p & lt; 0.001]. Preoperative halo-gravity traction also improved the pulmonary functions in patients, especially increasing %FVC and %FEV1 [MD = −0.0662 (95%CI −0.0672–−0.0652), p & lt; 0.001; MD = −0.0824 (95%CI −0.0832–−0.081) , p & lt; 0.001]. Conclusions: Preoperative halo-gravity traction for severe scoliosis patients shows significant improvement in the degree of deformity and pulmonary functions. Halo-gravity traction is an effective method to improve the tolerance of patients to surgery in the perioperative period.
