    Abstract: Boron-based catalysts have shown great fundamental and practical value in oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of light alkanes to olefins. Particularly, supported boron-based catalysts exhibit superior specific activity with highly dispersed active sites and adjustable structures, which can be used to understand the reaction pathway and promotion effect of the microenvironment in a clear manner. This review surveyed the structural characteristics of several important supported boron-based catalysts and their catalytic performance in ODH of light alkanes. The similarities and differences in the origin of active sites and kinetic behaviors over these supported catalysts were summarized and discussed. The interaction between the active boron species and support still plays a crucial role in the stability and activity of the catalysts. Moreover, the potential research directions for the application of highly active and stable boron-based catalysts in ODH of light alkanes to olefins were prospected.

    Abstract: Barium strontium titanate nano powders were prepared by mixing ethanol solution of tetrabutyl titanate with an aqueous solution of Ba(OH) 2 •8H 2 O and Sr(OH) 2 •8H 2 O with a certain molar ratio of barium to strontium at 40°C-95°C. The products were characterized by thermogravimetry (TG), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that the powders prepared with the reactant concentration of 0.8M are spherical in particle shape with the grain size of 50nm-65nm. When the annealing temperature of the powders is higher than 906°C, the hydroxyl groups existed in barium strontium titanate lattice are removed. XRD analysis demonstrate that the as-prepared powders are cubic phase. All the diffraction peaks are shifted towards higher diffraction angles and the lattice parameter a calculated decreases linearly with serial decrease of the molar ratio of barium to strontium.

    Abstract: Zearalenone (ZEA) exposure has carcinogenic effects on human and animal health by exhibiting intestinal, hepatic, and renal toxicity. At present, the un-derlying mechanisms on how ZEA induces apoptosis and damage to tissues still remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to identify genes that modulate the cellular response to ZEA using clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-Cas9 screening, and further validate novel gene functions to elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying particular biological processes in vivo and in vitro. Two ZEA-resistant cell lines, designated Ov-KCNJ4 and Ov-KCNJ12, were yielded by CRISPR activation screening which had significant changes in ZEA resistance and growth rates. Results showed that ZEA could interact with the cell membrane proteins KCNJ4 and KCNJ12, inducing cell cycle arrest, disruption of DNA replication and base excision repair. Overexpression of KCNJ4 and KCNJ12 was involved in ZEA resistance by regulating cell cycle to neutralize toxicity, sustaining mitochondrial morphology and function via at-tenuating the damage from oxidative stress in the KCNJ4-mitoKATP pathway. In vivo experiments showed that AAV-KCNJ4 delivery significantly improved ZEA-induced renal impairment and increased antioxidative enzyme activity by im-proving mitochondrial function. Our findings suggest that increasing potassium channel levels may be a putative therapeutic target for mycotoxin-induced damage.

    Abstract: Acupuncture and moxibustion have been widely used in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). But the evidence that acupuncture and moxibustion for IBS reduction of symptom severity and abdominal pain, and improvement of quality of life is scarce. Methods PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Scientific Journals Database (VIP), Wanfang Database, China Biomedical Literature Service System (SinoMed), and unpublished sources were searched from inception until June 30, 2022. The quality of RCTs was assessed with the Cochrane Collaboration risk of bias tool. The strength of the evidence was evaluated with the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation system (GRADE). Trial sequential analysis (TSA) was conducted to determine whether the participants in the included trials had reached optimal information size and whether the cumulative data was adequately powered to evaluate outcomes. Results A total of 31 RCTs were included. Acupuncture helped reduce the severity of symptoms more than pharmaceutical drugs (MD, −35.45; 95% CI, −48.21 to −22.68; I 2 = 71%). TSA showed the cumulative Z score crossed O'Brien-Fleming alpha-spending significance boundaries. Acupuncture wasn't associated with symptom severity reduction (SMD, 0.03, 95% CI, −0.25 to 0.31, I 2 = 46%), but exhibited therapeutic benefits on abdominal pain (SMD, −0.24; 95% CI, −0.48 to −0.01; I 2 = 8%) compared to sham acupuncture. Moxibustion show therapeutic benefits compared to sham moxibustion on symptom severity (SMD, −3.46, 95% CI, −5.66 to −1.27, I 2 = 95%) and abdominal pain (SMD, −2.74, 95% CI, −4.81 to −0.67, I 2 = 96%). Acupuncture (SMD, −0.46; 95% CI, −0.68 to −0.24; I 2 = 47%) and the combination of acupuncture and moxibustion (SMD, −2.00; 95% CI, −3.04 to −0.96; I 2 = 90%) showed more benefit for abdominal pain compared to pharmacological medications as well as shams. Acupuncture (MD, 4.56; 95% CI, 1.46–7.67; I 2 = 79%) and moxibustion (MD, 6.97; 95% CI, 5.78–8.16; I 2 = 21%) were more likely to improve quality of life than pharmaceutical drugs. Conclusion Acupuncture and/or moxibustion are beneficial for symptom severity, abdominal pain and quality of life in IBS. However, in sham control trials, acupuncture hasn't exhibited robust and stable evidence, and moxibustion's results show great heterogeneity. Hence, more rigorous sham control trials of acupuncture or moxibustion are necessary.     Abstract: The biological characteristics of bladder cancer include enhanced invasion and migration, which are the main causes of death in patients. Starvation is a typical feature of the bladder cancer microenvironment and can induce autophagy. Autophagy has an important relationship with the invasion and migration of tumors. However, the role of autophagy in the invasion and migration of bladder cancer cells remains unclear. Hence, the aim of the current study was to clarify this role and underlying mechanism. In this study, we found that starvation enhanced the epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT)‐mediated invasion and migration of T24 and 5637 cells while inducing autophagy. The inhibition of autophagy with chloroquine (CQ) or 3‐methyladenine (3MA) decreased EMT‐mediated invasion and migration. In addition, the expression of transforming growth factor 1 (TGF‐β1) and phosphorylated Smad3 (p‐Smad3) increased after starvation. The inhibition of autophagy with CQ or 3MA also decreased the expression of TGF‐β1 and p‐Smad3. The inhibitor of TGF‐β receptor sb431542 also inhibited the invasion, migration, and EMT of T24 and 5637 cells during starvation. Furthermore, recombinant TGF‐β1 induced autophagy and inhibition of the TGF‐β/Smad signaling pathway with sb431542 suppressed autophagy. In summary, our results suggested that autophagy promotes the invasion and migration of bladder cancer cells by inducing EMT through the TGF‐β1/Smad3 signaling pathway. Moreover, autophagy and TGF‐β1 can form a positive feedback loop to synergistically promote invasion and migration. Thus, our findings may provide a theoretical basis for the prevention of invasion and migration in bladder cancer.

    Abstract: The occurrence of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) is the result of multiple factors, and its pathogenesis has not yet been clarified. Emerging evidence indicates abnormal changes in gut microbiota and bile acid (BA) metabolism have a close relationship with IBS-D. Gut microbiota is involved in the secondary BA production via deconjugation, 7α-dehydroxylation, oxidation, epimerization, desulfation, and esterification reactions respectively. Changes in the composition and quantity of gut microbiota have an important impact on the metabolism of BAs, which can lead to the occurrence of gastrointestinal diseases. BAs, synthesized in the hepatocytes, play an important role in maintaining the homeostasis of gut microbiota and the balance of glucose and lipid metabolism. In consideration of the complex biological functional connections among gut microbiota, BAs, and IBS-D, it is urgent to review the latest research progress in this field. In this review, we summarized the alterations of gut microbiota in IBS-D and discussed the mechanistic connections between gut microbiota and BA metabolism in IBS-D, which may be involved in activating two important bile acid receptors, G-protein coupled bile acid receptor 1 (TGR5) and farnesoid X receptor (FXR). We also highlight the strategies of prevention and treatment of IBS-D via regulating gut microbiota-bile acid axis, including probiotics, fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), cholestyramine, and the cutting-edge technology about bacteria genetic engineering.

    Abstract: This paper presents a system that measures the heading angle of underground Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) based on Ultra Wideband (UWB). The system is composed by two UWB modules. The heading angle gives the predictable information for the vehicle localization. Because of the features of underground mines, many current methods for estimating heading angle have limitations in this situation, such as the absence of Global Positioning System (GPS) and the high cost of the positioning methods based on beacons. The range resolution is proportional to the bandwidth of signal. So, the large system bandwidth of UWB offers high accuracy. We estimate the heading angle by measuring the angle between two UWB modules, which is implemented on LHD. The position error of the two modules directly decides the error of heading angle. This paper analyzes and discusses two-dimensional error in theory. The experimental results demonstrate that it is feasible to use the proposed method for an underground environment.
