Abstract: In this paper, the authors emphasize the importance of foreign direct investment in Serbian agriculture. In the contemporary world, we are witnessing a large number of significant changes of the social, economic and technological nature, as well as the new challenges facing the national economies at the macro and micro levels. In the contexts of globalization and integration into the modern economy, issues are related to competitiveness and ensuring the highest quality of national business environment. In these conditions, when almost all the raw materials are available, natural advantages have almost the only effect on competition policy. Agriculture is a broad term, which, in addition to primary agricultural production, includes manufacturing, i.e. production of finished food products.

Abstract: Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the symptoms of significant psychological burdens for the entire population. However, little is known about the psychological effect of COVID-19 on healthcare students. Objective: The research aimed to determine whether and to what degree healthcare students exhibit signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression during the second year of the pandemic. Material and methods: The study was conducted as an online cross-sectional study, by surveying 133 healthcare students of the Faculty of Medicine. The questionnaire for the assessment of anxiety (General Anxiety Disorder - GAD-7) and the questionnaire for the assessment of depression (Patient Health Questionnaire - PHQ-9) were used as research instruments. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used for statistical data processing, and statistical significance was determined at the p≤ 0.05 level. Results: The highest percentage of students showed minimal symptoms of depression (40.6%), i.e. symptoms of minimal anxiety (45.1%), while the total average score of the GAD-7 questionnaire was 6.35±5.27(SD), and the average value of the total PHQ-9 score was 7.42±5.59(SD). Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on healthcare students, who during the second year of the pandemic showed mild depression and mild anxiety.

Abstract: During three-hundred-year history of the market economy, the main sources of wealth creation have changed from the natural resources (mainly land and relatively unskilled labor with the exception of the master craftsman), tangible material assets (buildings, machinery and equipment, funds) to intangible assets (knowledge and information of all types) that may be contained in the people, organizations, or physical resources. In the later period of the twentieth century, science has acquired the features of direct production force. The term direct implies that unlike the relationship which existed between science and production in the IXX century, where scientific advances was incorporated through the physical labor in the tools, which, in turn, created new value through the physical labor, the relationship between science and production has become all direct, immediate, because the scientific advances allowed the funds to be produced with less labor and allowed funds itself to become "smarter" and as such to require less human intervention and human physical labor in the final production process. As a result, the need for physical labor continuously declined with time, and the application of labor is moved from direct production to processes of preparing and organizing production. Also, a large part of today's knowledge that is used in production is not embodied in machinery, and the effects of this are immense.

Abstract: Uvod/Cilj.

Abstract: In order for the processes of environment protection and improvement in the Republic of Serbia to be more efficient, certain financial investments are necessary. After an introductory overview, the aim of the research was presented, which is to show correlation between costs and tax revenues in the field of environmental protection. The linear regression model and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used for the analyses. The paper presents economic instruments in the field of environmental protection for the period 2009-2018. Data obtained from the National Statistical Office were used. The state of the environment, as well as the goals related to European integration with the opening of Chapter 27, show that the presented data relating to the environment in the Republic of Serbia are very worrying and represent one of the key problems for policy implementation. The obtained results showed that there is a significant degree of correlation (r = 0.887). The current situation indicates that special attention should be paid to this topic, especially in terms of finding mechanisms for providing the necessary financial funds.

Abstract: It is important for every consumer that the product he consumes is of good quality and safe for his health. An organic product for the consumer means quality and health. It is of crucial importance to look into the the organic food market, and based on that determine what the goals are and create a strategy to achieve the set goals. The organic market is the main source of information for organic food producers. Before organic products are being placed on the market, the target group of consumers to whom the marketing mix will be directed should be determined on the basis of information from the market. Various surrounding impulses affect consumer behavior, so it is necessary to continuously monitor all important factors, in order to meet consumer demands in a timely manner. Consumer behavior in the market is the result of the tendency of consumers to best meet their needs and desires. The goal of the research is why and how consumers buy and consume certain products, respectively, what are the motives for their purchase. The research was conducted in the period from September until December 2020. on the sample 250 respondents in the territory Republic Serbia. Field research was conducted through a questionnaire consisting of seven question and based on the answers received, the results were processed. The most important indicators of this research are that consumers are less likely to buy organic products due to the lower purchasing power of the population, but also insufficient information, and the main motive for buying is that organic products are healthy products.

Abstract: To investigate the prognostic value of urokinase‐type plasminogen activator (uPA) and its inhibitor, type‐1 plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI‐1), in differentiated thyroid cancer. Study Design Prospective cohort study. Setting University hospital. Subjects and Methods Cytosolic concentrations of uPA and PAI‐1 were determined in 105 patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma and normal matched tissues using an enzyme‐linked immunoassay (ELISA). Results Both uPA and PAI‐1 concentrations were significantly higher in differentiated thyroid tumors (uPA = 0.509 ± 0.767 and PAI‐1 = 6.337 ± 6.415 ng/mg) compared to normal tissues (uPA = 0.237 ± 0.051, P 〈 . 001; PAI‐1 = 2.368 ± 0.418 ng/mg, P 〈 . 001). uPA and PAI‐1 were significantly higher if extrathyroidal invasion (uPA, P =. 015; PAI‐1, P 〈 . 001) or distant metastasis (PAI‐1 P 〈 . 001) was present, as well as in tumors whose size exceeded 1 cm in diameter (uPA, P =. 002; PAI‐1, P =. 001). Survival analysis revealed the significant impact of both uPA and PAI‐1 on progression‐free survival (PFS) (82.22 vs 49.478 months for patients with low and high uPA, respectively, P 〈 . 001; 87.068 vs 44.964 months for patients with low and high PAI‐1, respectively, P 〈 . 001). Univariate analysis showed that gender, tumor size, tumor grade, extrathyroid invasion, local lymph node involvement, distant metastasis, uPA, and PAI‐1 were significant predictors of PFS. However, multivariate analysis identified only distant metastasis and tumor tissue uPA and PAI‐1 as independent prognostic factors. Conclusion These findings indicate that high uPA and PAI‐1 levels represent independent unfavorable prognostic factors in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma.
