    Abstract: This paper assesses the risk of lead and cadmium heavy metals on Cyprinus carpio in laboratory conditions. The research determined the 96 hours LC50 value of lead nitrate and cadmium nitrate in the fish Cyprinus carpio. This study combined the ecological toxicology test with the ecological hazard description to determine the acute toxicity effects of lead and cadmium on Cyprinus carpio. Ecological toxicology took place in 96 hours with test concentration of 0.25; 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0 mg/l on lead and 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0; 3.0 mg/l on cadmium. Through probit analysis, the LC50 after 96 hours of lead and cadmium in Cyprinus carpio was found to be 0.987 mg/l and 1.171 mg/l, respectively. Through monitoring the biological behaviour of Cyprinus carpio when exposed to lead and cadmium, it was observed that the number of deaths is proportional to the concentration of chemical exposure time. The abnormal morphology and behaviour of the fish also increased with testing time and lead and cadmium concentration. Cyprinus carpio also absorbs lead and cadmium in its body; the cumulative content is similar as above.

    Abstract: Acinetobacter spp. are common pathogenic bacteria. The Acinetobacter genus includes 65 species, of which the Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex group has been identified as the cause of more than 80% of hospital infections in immunocompromised patients. Existing phenotypic techniques are not sufficient to accurately identify and distinguish clinically important Acinetobacter spp. 288 (60%, n = 480) of ready-to-eat vegetable and meat samples collected from ready-to-eat shops contaminated with Acinetobacter spp in 6 districts in Hanoi, including Dong Da, Hoang Mai, Hai Ba Trung, Long Bien, Ha Dong, and Cau Giay. The results of identification by MALDI-TOF MS technique recorded 208 (43%, n = 480) of samples contaminated with Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex, of which 156 (65%, n = 240) of vegetable and 52 (22%, n = 240) of meat samples. Antibiotic susceptibility tests using antibiotic paper strips showed that 82% of Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex strains were resistant to imipenem and 30% of the complex was resistant to meropenem.

    Abstract: Acinetobacter spp. là vi khuẩn gây bệnh phổ biến ở người. Chi Acinetobacter bao gồm khoảng 65 loài, trong đó nhóm Acinetobacter calcoaceticus - Acinetobacter baumannii complex được xác định là nguyên nhân gây ra hơn 80% trường hợp nhiễm trùng tại bệnh viện ở bệnh nhân suy giảm miễn dịch. Các phân tích kiểu hình hiện có không đủ để xác định chính xác và phân biệt các loài Acinetobacter spp. quan trọng về mặt lâm sàng. Trong tổng số 480 mẫu rau ăn sống và thịt chế biến sẵn được thu thập tại 6 quận nội thành Hà Nội gồm Đống Đa, Hoàng Mai, Hai Bà Trưng, Long Biên, Hà Đông, Cầu Giấy, có 288 mẫu (chiếm 60%) mẫu nhiễm Acinetobacter spp. Kết quả & nbsp; định danh bằng kỹ thuật MALDI-TOF MS ghi nhận 208 (43%, n = 480) mẫu nhiễm Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex, trong đó 156 (65%, n = 240) mẫu rau ăn sống và 52 (22%, n = 240) mẫu thịt nhiễm Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex. Thử nghiệm kháng sinh đồ bằng các khoanh giấy kháng sinh cho thấy 82% số chủng vi khuẩn Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex kháng với kháng sinh imipenem và 30% số chủng kháng với meropenem.

    Abstract: The plastic industry is an economic sector that plays an important role in promoting a circular economy in Vietnam. This study used the updated 2018 input-output (IO) table to identify and analyse the production and consumption of seven different plastics including: HDPE, PS, PE, PET, PVC, PP, and others. The study also integrated the IO model to unveil the environmental burden of these plastics through the plastic demand of 40 economic sectors and households. As a result, in 2018, the amount of direct solid waste from the plastic industry was 58,147 tons and the amount of indirect solid waste from the plastic industry to other economic sectors and the household sector were 214,258 tons and 6,262 tons, respectively. Agriculture and its services, food processing, fashion manufacturing, basic chemical production, electrical and electronic equipment production, and transport production embodied the highest indirect burdens due to their use of plastic products. This study contributes to MFA research and developing strategies for sustainable production and consumption of plastics and the management of plastic waste in Vietnam.

    Abstract: The genus Clostridium is a Gram-positive, spore-forming bacterium. Most species of & nbsp;Clostridium spp. usually are found in soil, water, dead plants, animal carcasses, and play & nbsp;an important role in the decomposition of substances in nature. Raw meat and fresh & nbsp;vegetable are more likely to be contaminated with spores or vegetative cells of the genus & nbsp;Clostridium. The study results showed that the percentage of samples contaminated with & nbsp;raw meat and leafy vegetables collected at markets in Dong Da, Ha Dong and Hoang Mai & nbsp;districts infected with C. perfringens was 26.67% (n = 150) and 26.82% (n = 220). The & nbsp;percentage of raw meat and leafy vegetable samples contaminated with C. difficile was & nbsp;very low with 6.00% (n = 150) and 0.9% (n = 220), respectively. Gene amplification & nbsp;reactions revealed the presence of cpa toxin gene in all C. perfringens strains and detected & nbsp;02 C. difficile strains carrying the tcdA gene.

    Abstract: Xuyên tâm liên (Andrographis paniculata) là cây có nhiều công dụng và là nguồn dược liệu tốt. Mối tương tác giữa hệ vi sinh vật và A. paniculata ở các mức độ khác nhau đã được khảo sát. Ba địa điểm nghiên cứu được chọn để phân tích đất, phân lập vi khuẩn, thu mẫu cây để xác định cấu trúc mô và vị trí cư trú của vi sinh vật. Kết quả cho thấy A. paniculata có khả năng thích nghi với nhiều loại đất. Năm mươi lăm dòng vi khuẩn đã được tìm thấy, trong đó số lượng vi khuẩn phân lập đất vùng rễ là cao nhất 18 dòng. Tại địa điểm đất có hàm lượng chất hữu cơ cao nhất (12,8 %) phân lập được nhiều vi khuẩn nhất (8 dòng) ngược lại tại nơi có hàm lượng chất hữu cơ thấp nhất (1,41 %) số lượng vi sinh vật phân lập được ít nhất (4 dòng). Các bộ phận trong cây đều phân lập được các vi sinh vật với số lượng khác nhau. Các mô với tế bào có vách bằng cellulose, nhiều chất dự trữ đều có vi sinh vật cộng sinh.

    Abstract: Bifidobacterium strains with probiotic effects have been widely used in dairy products, food additives and pharmaceuticals. Especially, Bifidobacterium bifidum (B. bifidum) is usually presented into food products such as functional food. However, it is difficult to detect, and quantify B. bifidum in a sample with a combination of different probiotics. In Vietnam, there is no official standard method to identify and quantify B. bifidum in the sample with the mix of probiotic species. To fulfil the requirements of a robust quality management, we have developed a quantitative real-time PCR assay based on groEL gene for accurate identification and quantification of Bifidobacterium bifidum. The developed assay allows an unambiguous speciesspecific detection. We built the real-time PCR method to detect and identify B. bifidum in functional and supplemented food with specific up to 100% and reproducibility (SR & lt;0.25) suitable with Annex F AOAC: 2016. This real-time PCR method is rapidly and effectively than conventional method. It takes only 24 hours to detect and identify B. bifidum in compare with at least a period of 3-5 days for conventional methods. The low quantitative limit is 105 CFU/g/mL, which is consistent with probiotic and powdered milk products with a declared quality of more than 106 CFU/g/mL.

    Abstract: The paper industry is an essential but energy-intensive economic sector. This study aims to propose an appropriate inventory method to first determine the GHG emission factor in the life cycle of paper products of Vietnam. The approach overcomes the limitations of the ISO 14067 method by including the environmental burdens from the paper mill’s processes. In 2018, the amount of GHG emitted from cradle to gate when producing a ton of carton box, writing paper, and tissue products ( {\text{EF}}_{{\text{CO}}_{\text{2eq}}} ) was 1,366 kg CO 2eq , 1,224 kg CO 2eq , and 751 kg CO 2eq , respectively. High energy intensity is identified as the main reason that causes high life cycle analysis (LCA) GHG emission factors and virgin paper-based products often emit higher LCA GHG amounts than recycled paper-based products. To reduce the emission, the Vietnamese paper mills should increase the use of recycled paper and replace fossil fuels with environmentally friendly energy resources.

    Abstract: The study measures service quality and customer loyalty among logistics service providers, with customer satisfaction mediating these variables. The survey questionnaire was used to collect 401 data from consumers in Vietnam. Data were analyzed using least-squares analysis (PLS-SEM). The results show that service quality variables such as customer service; product quality; information quality; delivery service; perceived price, anh reverse logistics positively influence customer loyalty through customer satisfaction. The results show that customer satisfaction has a direct relationship with customer loyalty. The study recommends that service providers need to upgrade and improve the quality of their services.

    Abstract: The study was carried out at Dai Dong and Chi Dao communes, Van Lam District, Hung Yen Province. The biological diversity indexes and dominance index of species were used to identify native plant species which have the ability to absorb Pb and Zn. The results were verified by applying methods such as plant classification, quadrat cell counting, biological indicators and chemical analysis. Results showed that there are five species of plants with the highest dominant index calculated due to number of individuals in the study area including Bidens pilosa L (33.03%), Acroceras munroanum (8.14%), Commelina coelestis (7.83%), Carex capillacea (5.41%), Ipomoea aquatic (5.26%). Verified results showed that Bidens pilosa L, Acroceras munroanum, Commelina coelestis, Ipomoea aquatic can be used to treat Pb with the absorption concentration of 380 mg/kg, 288 mg/kg, 270 mg/kg, 223 mg/kg, respectively. Only Commelina coelestis can absorb Zn with the highest concentration of 73mg/kg. In summary, Pb absorption of dominant species in the study area is higher than the absorption of Zn. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện tại hai xã Đại Đồng và xã Chỉ Đạo, huyện Văn Lâm, tỉnh Hưng Yên nhằm xác định một số loài thực vật bản địa có khả năng hấp thụ Pb, Zn bằng cách sử dụng chỉ số đa dạng sinh học và chỉ số ưu thế loài. Kết quả được kiểm chứng bằng các phương pháp như phân loại thực vật, đếm ô quadrat, sử dụng chỉ số sinh học và phân tích hóa học. Kết quả cho thấy có có năm loài thực vật có chỉ số ưu thế cao nhất tính theo số lượng cá thể trong khu vực nghiên cứu là: Đơn buốt (33,03 %), Cỏ lá tre (8,14 %), Thài lài (7,83 %), Kiết tóc (5,41 %), Rau muống (5,26 %). Kết quả phân tích kiểm chứng thấy Đơn buốt, Cỏ lá tre, Thài lài, Rau muống có khả năng xử lý Pb với giá trị lần lượt là 380 mg/kg, 288 mg/kg, 270 mg/kg, 223 mg/kg. Trong khi đó chỉ có Thài lài là có khả năng hấp thu Zn với giá trị cao nhất là 73 mg/kg. Nhìn chung khả năng hấp thu Pb của các loài ưu thế tại khu vực nghiên cứu cao hơn so với khả năng hấp thu Zn.
