    Responses of Selected Indonesian Rice Varieties under Excess Iron Condition in Media Culture at Seedling Stage

    Abstract: Iron toxicity could limit rice productivity on irrigated lowland acid and swampy soil. The use of iron toxicity tolerant rice is an alternative strategy to improve rice productivity in these areas. We studied the phenotypic variation of twenty-four rice genotypes and characterized the fate of Fe2+ along its path between the roots and shoot of rice plant. Twenty-four rice genotypes form different agro-ecosystem were grown under agar nutrient solution conditions with 400 mg. L-1 iron stress and under normal condition. We found variation in the biomass accumulation of rice seedling during stress of iron namely, high accumulated biomass tolerant type and low accumulate biomass tolerant type. The relative biomass weight was highly correlated with the leaf bronzing scores (LBS) under excess iron. Based on these categorizations, we chose six genotypes to observe the present of Fe in root and shoot using invivo-staining 2,2 bypiridine. The result indicated that some genotypes were able to develop root and shoot aerenchym during iron stress. This was related to the development on root iron plaque and the iron content of the shoot of the rice seedling. In this present study, rice genotypes could be classified as the includer tolerant type (Inpara 2) and some others were the excluder tolerant type (Mahsuri, Pokkali and Siam Saba). This information on tolerance strategies is important for rice breeder to develop physiological-based breeding program of iron-toxicity tolerant in rice.

    Abstract: This study aimed to describe the implementation of PPL (Professional and Teaching Practiceat School) for PGSD FKIP UMS students; PGSD students’ perception towards PPL.This research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study arestudents, mentor teachers coordinator, and lecturers as PPL supervisor. Data collectiontechniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The questionnairewere obtained from 60 students to determine VII semester PGSD FKIP UMS students’perceptions about PPL 2013. Interviews were conducted to students who had attendedthe PPL, coordinator of mentor teachers, and lecturers.. Data analysis techniques performedinteractively. The validity of the data used triangulation technique. Based on theresults of research conducted by researchers at the school with good quality, medium, andregular shows that the number of 35 or 58.33 % of the students expressed that one poin tobe improved is in terms of the time of registration. A number of 50 or 83.33 % of thestudents stated that in the partner schools do not have science labs and learning of mathematicsas a suggestion. A total of 60 or 100 % of students stated that the performance ofmentor teachers’ coordinator in carrying out the task was quite good. Some 21 or 31 % ofstudents stated that some mentor teachers were still using conventional learning strategiesor unable to model an active and innovative teachers for the student-teachers. Atotal of 40 or 66.67 % of the students stated that the performance of the supervisors needsto be improved, especially to guide students in preparing and developing student-teachers’learning program at school and in assisting them writing final report of PPL. A number of41 or 68.33 % of the students stated that it is mandatory to give a memento to the partnerschool. Some 57 or 95 % of students stated that students are required to have teachingpractice exams at partner school. It was concluded that the good cooperation betweenthe organizers of the PPL, students, supervisors, teacher and mentor teacher coordinatorto facilitate the implementation of the PPL .

    Abstract: The F1 hybrid sterility in indica/japonica crosses is the major barrier in developing hybrid rice varieties between these two diverse germplasm. The sterility problem in japonica/indica hybrids can be overcome by using wide compatibility genes. The objective of this study was to identify wide compatibility varieties (WCVs) in some tropical japonica rice. Twenty five tropical japonica varieties as male parents were crossed with indica (IR64) and japonica (Akitakomachi) testers as female parents. The crosses were planted following a randomized complete block design with three replications. Varieties having average spikelet fertility of more than 70% with both the indica and japonica testers were rated as WCVs. Result from this study showed that six tropical japonica varieties were classified as WCVs, i.e., Cabacu, Grogol, Kencana Bali, Klemas, Lampung Lawer, and Napa. Hybrid sterility is caused by partial sterility of male and female gametes. The WCVs from the present study can be used in hybrid rice breeding program to solve hybrid sterility in indica/japonica hybrids.

    Abstract: 〈 p class="abstrakinggris" 〉 One of the important issues on rice breeding is to develop new rice lines suitable for nitrogen efficiency in the suboptimum environment. The study aimed to evaluate the tolerance and yield components of rice breeding lines selected under low and high nitrogen conditions. The F6 generation from two cross-combinations of Gampai/IR77674 and Progol/Asahan, were evaluated in the dry season of 2014 under N suboptimum and N optimum conditions. A total of 172 lines plus six check varieties derived from the low and high N environment selection were evaluated under low N rate (34.5 kg N ha 〈 sup 〉 -1 〈 /sup 〉 ) and high N rate (138 kg N ha 〈 sup 〉 -1 〈 /sup 〉 ), arranged in an augmented design. Six check varieties were relocated three times in each block. Plot size was 5.5 m 〈 sup 〉 2 〈 /sup 〉 and plant spacing 20 cm x 20 cm. Data were collected for grain yield and major yield components. Results showed that the 〈 span class="tlid-translation" 〉 different status of nitrogen fertilizer affected the number of productive fillers, number of filled grains, 100-grain weight, and grain yield. 〈 /span 〉 Different cross combinations exhibited different results in the progeny performance. Ten lines have a higher yield also tolerant to low N condition, i.e. B14250F-6-9, B14250F-1-4, B14250F-9-9, B14250F-6-4, B14250F-5-2, B14262F-15-6, B14250F-2-6, B14262F-12-4, B14250F-5-1, and B14250F-11-4. Thus, to obtain the N tolerant lines, selection at a low N environment was more effective compared with the optimum selection environment. 〈 /p 〉

    Abstract: The unresolved COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on society. As a result, the government has announced various policies, one of which is the policy of limiting social activities. This research, describes, analyzes “SE Implementation. Ministry of Education and Culture. No. 20 of 2020 Regarding the Work from Home (WFH) Policy at PSDKU Malang State Polytechnic in Kediri City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The informants of this research were staff and lecturers, the research focused on Gorge Edward III theory, data collection techniques by interview, documentation and observation, matrix model research instruments, data analysis techniques with interactive model analysis, including: data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research show that the implementation went well. The constraining factor is an unstable internet network during online lectures. The supporting factors for its implementation are supporting human resources and health protocol supporting facilities.

    Abstract: Produk kosmetika yang paling banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat khususnya bagi para wanita yaitu bedak, foundation  pelembab, lipgloss, lipstik, eyeliner, pemerah pipi, pensil alis dan eye shadow. Kosmetik ini kebutuhan yang paling penting bagi para wanita  apalagi  para remaja pada zaman sekarang  yang mana kosmetik tersebut digunakan setiap hari diseluruh bagian sehingga perlu adanya persyaratan yang aman dalam penggunaannya agar tidak merusak kulit. Sampai sekarang, masih banyak masyarakat yang menganggap bahwa kosmetik tidak menimbulkan efek samping yang berbahaya  untuk kulit, karena mereka menguunakannya di permukaan kulit padahal kulit juga mampu menyerap bahan yang melekat pad kulit. Pembuatan kosmetik dari bahan alam sebagai alternatif kosmetik yang sangat aman seperti : body scrub dari beras. Kegiatan pembuatan body scrub ini bertujuan agar masyarakat dapat menggunakan kosmetik yang aman. Pelaksanaan pelatihan pembuatan body scrub dan perhitungan HPP (harga pokok produksi) berjalan dengan lancar dan peserta yang hadir yakni 30 orang yang terdiri dari ibu-ibu dan juga remaja putri yang ada di desa Prijekngablak.

    Abstract: Duwur Waterfall at Bumisari is a village located in the district Bojongsari Purbalingga. Bumisari Village has a natural tourist destination that is Curug Duwur managed by Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES). This tourism object is still in the development stage. The development that has been done is still limited to infrastructure, and one of the things that have not been touched is the promotional media. Methods in the activities used to develop further, especially in attracting visitors are interviews, discussions, observations, and pre-design maps. The writing team also prepared the development through the construction of entrance gates, the improvement of facilities, and the creation of 3D location maps. The results of the development carried out in addition to the form of physical facilities in the form of entrance gates, coloring ladder to waterfalls, also made promotional media through the internet by creating a website with a url http://curugduwurbumisari.blogspot.com, the addition of addresses on google maps and the addition of 3D location maps that have obtained HAKI with the Number EC00202126412. The results of the development increased the number of visitors which originally averaged 350 people per month to 750 people in one month of development. These results show that the addition of gates, improvements in facilities and the creation of maps and internet promotional media affect increasing the number of visitors).

    Abstract: Lecturers have broad autonomy in developing instructional. With the characteristics possessed by these lecturers, collaboration between lecturers (team teaching) is a challenge that is sometimes not easy. However, in vocational learning, lecturer cooperation in learning is something that cannot be avoided. In the Classroom Action Research to SMK, researchers collaborated at partner schools of SMKN 5 Surakarta and SMKN I Mondokan Sragen. The type of research used is ethnographic research, which is a qualitative observation method used in social science that focuses on field studies and their interactions, and sees everything as unique. The method used in conducting the evaluation is the equivalent test, which is a test that aims to measure its reliability identically with the reference test. The conclusion that can be drawn in this PDS program is to complement each other's strengths and weaknesses in organizing the learning process for SMK. Pamong teachers who work together are senior teachers who have eaten a lot of salt in their teaching. Pamong teachers have adequate competence in teaching and educating students, on the other hand, senior teachers have limitations in developing learning innovations. This is where the role of PDS lecturers in completing the shortage of teachers. The innovation that the lecturers did was to provide guidance using e-learning in learning at SMK. This e-learning has many advantages in learning the millennial generation. By maintaining student motivation, the learning objectives will be better achieved.

    Abstract: Learning in classes that are less interesting causes learning to be held less than optimally. This has a negative impact on mathematics learning outcomes in data presentation material. This study aims to improve students' learning achievement through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. This type of research is classroom action research carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation/evaluation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Ternyang, totaling 23 students. Methods of data collection using tests. The test is used to measure student learning achievement after applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. Data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes at the pre-cycle stage, student learning outcomes only reached an average of 60 with a complete learning of 30.43%, in cycle I there was an average increase of 78.26 with a completeness of 78.26%, in cycle II the average increased to 84.13 with 86.96% mastery. In cycle III the average increased to 86.08 with 96.65% mastery. So the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model was able to improve the learning achievement of fourth grade elementary school students. The implications of this research are expected to have a positive impact on student achievement.
