    Abstract: Sago plants can be used from leaves, fronds, and stems with the main product of sago starch from the stem. In the production process, the sago plants used are 7-8 years old. The productivity of sago palms in Pemakuan Laut village is around 200 kg starch/stem with a selling price of Rp. 3,500/kg in wet conditions and Rp. 7,500/kg of dry sago flour. Sago processing waste has not been utilized yet by the community even though the waste can still be used for other purposes such as animal feed, hardboard, fuel, plant growth media, and fertilizer. Sago waste is a problem in the Pemaku Laut village environment because the waste has accumulated while the location for disposing of it is limited. Therefore, in this community service activity training was carried out in making animal feed (poultry) using sago dregs. The method used is fermentation. From the activities carried out, it was known that all the participants had started to utilize sago dregs, but the preliminary process had not been carried out, the dregs were directly given to livestock. In this training, sago dregs processing is carried out using the fermentation process. From the training, it can be seen that the community already knows the process of processing the dregs before giving it livestock to increase its nutritional value.

    Abstract: Perkembangan ilmu biologi menjadi pesat khususnya genetika yang  mengakibatkan lonjakan berbagai eksperimen data genetika manusia sebagai pembawa informasi genetik untuk analisis pewarisan sifat dan duplikasi, serta untuk kegiatan forensik. Digitalisasi data genetika dibutuhkan untuk mempermudah penelitian dan pengembangan. Bioinformatika merupakan data hasil eksperimen dari laboratorium para peneliti ahli biologi molekuler ataupun biomedis untuk mempermudah pengolahan data genetika manusia dengan teknologi komputasi. Data digital dari genetika dapat disimpan dalam database dengan format tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah untuk digitalisasi data dari genetika manusia dari sampel biologi menjadi data digital. Bentuk dari data digital genetika manusia dapat digunakan untuk penelitian oleh para ahli biologi menggunakan perangkat lunak yang dapat membaca file dengan format FASTA. FASTA merupakan salah satu jenis file untaian dari beberapa jenis file format untaian protein yang tersedia di GenBank (database penyedia untaian protein). Data digital dari genetika akan dapat digunakan pada penelitian selanjutnya oleh ahli biologi tanpa harus mengambil sampel biologi.

    Abstract: 〈 p 〉 Energi listrik menjadikan sebuah kebutuhan yang paling mendasar dan vital bagi kehidupan masyarakat. Tidak adanya energi listrik sangat mengganggu aktifitas kehidupan manusia. Hingga saat ini masyarakat masih tergantung terhadap ketersediaan listrik PLN (perusahaan listrik negara) sehingga harus membayar harga listrik yang terus mengalami kenaikan. Selain itu, jaringan energi listrik masih belum terjangkau di daerah pedalaman, hal ini menjadi permasalahan yang sangat besar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan teknologi pembangkit listrik solar home system yang ramah lingkungan, mudah dan efisien. Solar home system dirancang menggunakan akumulator 12V/40AH, beban lampu 100W dan panel surya 20V/5A. Pengembangan SHM selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran, perhitungan teknis, perhitungan ekonomis dan analisis permasalahan. Hasil dari penelitian dapat diketahui rekomendasi 〈 em 〉 Solar home system 〈 /em 〉 sebagai eksplorasi energi yang terbarukan, bersih, ramah lingkungan, investasi jangka panjang, praktis, dan cocok untuk daerah tropis seperti Indonesia. 〈 /p 〉

    Abstract: Kegiatan program pengabdian kemitraan ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknologi tepat guna berupa pembangkit listrik tenaga aliran sungai atau lebih dikenal dengan Ultra Small Water Generator di lingkungan anak sungai brantas di Desa Kalipang, Kecamatan Sutojayan, Kabupaten Blitar. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini terdiri dari studi lapangan, analisis kebutuhan, pembuatan, uji coba, penyuluhan serta pemanfaatan ultra small water generator.     Abstract: The main activities in the rural landscape are agriculture, involved natural resources management that compose the function of area as settlement, government services, social services and economy activities. These activities affected the rural landscape that changed plant diversities as well as carbon stock. The aim of this research was to evaluate biodiversity and carbon stock in the rural area of Cisadane Watershed.  Two villages were defined on a purposive random sampling, i.e. Sukadamai and Bantarsari.  The sampling plots were selected based on main land use type with size for tree was 20 m × 20 m, polewas 10 m x 10 m, sapling was 5 m x 5 m and seedling was 2 m x 2 m; with 3 replications.  Similarly, other concentric plots were established. The number of plant species were counted, diameterat breast height (DBH) and height were measured. Then, carbon stock, plant diversity and the relationship was developed.  The results showed that main land use in Sukadamai and Bantarsari Village consisted of settlement area, farmland, mixed farming and palm oil plantation.  There were 106 species from 43 families that classified into 9 horizontal diversity based on function and 5 vertical diversity based on height. The values of Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H’) ranged 2.78–3.20.  Estimated carbon stocks were 1.16–51.40 Mg ha−1 in research areas, respectively. These research concluded there was a negative correlation between species richness and diversity index with carbon stock in the village landscapes.

    Abstract: Recruitment errors influence in a decrease of quality, performance, and company revenue. One of the causes is the absence of a method that is applied as a systematically of information system in determining the acceptance of the best prospective employees. This study uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Weight Product (WP) methods to build an objective, fast, and accurate of Decision Support System (DSS) in determining employee acceptance. This research case study was applied to the Indonesian Market Traders Cooperative (KOPPI) Sorong City, West Papua Province by involving a number of 10 alternative applicants. This study aims to produce an objective information system and provide convenience in determining the best employees, referring to the determination of 9 criteria obtained from interviews, namely education, work experience, motivation, intrapersonal ability, achievement orientation, sales ability, self-confidence, trustworthy, and work ethic by weighting each. SAW and WP methods are both used to determine the best ranking of all alternative applicants and get the best prospective employees. The information system was built using the Waterfall development method with the PHP programming language and Mysql database. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it is found that the information system built has 100% conformity of functionality and compatibility between manual and application system. Both methods provide the same highest alternative to be used as the determination of the best employee acceptance, however it is found that the WP method provides better accuracy and validity than SAW.

    Abstract: 〈 p 〉 Pencegahan osteoporosis dilakukan dengan mengkonsumsi kalsium. Pada umumnya kalsium yang dikonsumsi dalam bentuk mikro kalsium. Ukuran mikro kalsium hanya diserap tubuh sekitar 50%, sehingga sering menyebabkan defisiensi. Sehingga, teknologi untuk membuat ukuran nanokalsium telah dikembangkan agar penyerapan kalsium dalam tubuh lebih besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis nanokalsium dari cangkang telur yang merupakan limbah industri roti. Sintesis nanokalsium oksida dari cangkang telur dengan metode presipitasi. Sintesis dilakukan dengan mereaksikan cangkang telur yang telah bersih dan kering dengan HCl 2 N. Hasil reaksi dipisahkan dengan penyaringan sehingga diperoleh filtrat. Filtrat yang diperoleh direaksikan dengan NaOH sampai pengendapan tidak terbentuk lagi. Endapan yang diperoleh kemudian dipisahkan, dioven, dan dibakar dalam tanur pada suhu 600 °C selama 1 jam. Serbuk hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan SEM-EDX, XRD dan FTIR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cangkang telur dapat disintesis menjadi nanokalsium oksida berupa kristal berwarna putih. Karakterisasi menggunakan SEM-EDX diperoleh hasil bahwa nanokalsium oksida dari cangkang telur berbentuk speris, teraglomerasi dengan ukuran partikel 12,41582 ± 0,13961 nm, mengandung unsur yaitu O (55,83%), C (33,24%), dan Ca (10,94%). Karakterisasi dengan XRD menunjukkan bahwa ukuran kristal nanokalsium oksida diperoleh hasil sebesar 10,46 nm. Karakterisasi dengan FTIR diperoleh puncak pada bilangan gelombang 1477,54 cm-1, 1053,15 cm-1, 8863,68 cm-1 dan ikatan Ca-O pada bilangan gelombang 512 cm-1. 〈 /p 〉 〈 p 〉 〈 strong 〉 Synthesis and Characterization of Nano-Calcium Oxide from Eggshells. 〈 /strong 〉 Consumption of calcium can prevent osteoporosis. Usually, calcium is consumed in the form of micro calcium. The micro size calcium is only absorbed by the body at around 50%, causing calcium deficiency. Therefore, technology to produce nano-size calcium has been developed to increase the amount of adsorption. This study aims to synthesize nano calcium from eggshells as a solid waste of bread industries. The synthesis was conducted by precipitation method. The synthesis was carried out by reacting clean and dry eggshells with HCl 2 N, and then followed by filtering to obtain the filtrate. The filtrate obtained was reacted with NaOH until the calcium was precipitated. The precipitate obtained was then separated, roasted, and burned in a furnace at 600 °C for 1 hour. The synthesized powders were characterized using SEM-EDX, XRD, and FTIR. The results showed that eggshells could be synthesized into nano-calcium oxide in the form of white crystals. Characterization using SEM-EDX showed that nano-calcium oxide from spherical eggshells, agglomerated with the particle size of 12.41582 ± 0.13961 nm, with elemental content of O (55.83%), C (33.24%), and Ca (10.94%). Characterization with XRD shows that the size of nano calcium oxide crystals was 10.46 nm. Characterization with FTIR shows peak at wavenumbers 1477.54 cm 〈 sup 〉 -1 〈 /sup 〉 , 1053.15 cm 〈 sup 〉 -1 〈 /sup 〉 , 8863.68 cm 〈 sup 〉 -1 〈 /sup 〉 , and the Ca-O bond reveals at 512 cm 〈 sup 〉 -1 〈 /sup 〉 . 〈 /p 〉 〈 strong 〉 〈 /strong 〉
