Abstract:
We demonstrate an efficient in‐situ method to fabricate amorphous Cu–Co–P nanofilms on CuCo 2 O 4 nanoarrays by cathodic electrochemical reduction. These are used to catalyze the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline solution. The catalyst needs an overpotential of only 104 mV in 1.0 m KOH when the current density is 20 mA cm –2 . More importantly, it has good durability for at least 24 h. This method provides an effective approach to develop a nonprecious metal catalyst for industrial hydrogen evolution.
