Abstract:
Artificial space-division multiplexing of electron-waves in mesoscopic Si with the Si/Nb boundary controlled through Andreev reflection is verified by using a sample with five electron-wave injectors separated by sub-micron spacing. The maximum injection power of electron-waves that maintains space-division multiplexing is 0.22 µ W when the distance between the injectors is 0.15 µ m. By applying space-division multiplexing, two-input switchable AND-OR operation based on threshold logic by a single device is confirmed.
