Abstract: The aim of this research was to study pathomorphological alterations in the internal organs of rabbits through experimental reproduction of colibacillosis. The studies were conducted on 10 clinically healthy rabbits at the age of 3 months from a private farm. Animals were infected by intraperitoneal injection of a suspension of a pure culture of Escherichia coli isolated from a sand lizard. The disease of infected rabbits was accompanied by cachexia, dehydration and fever. The pathological process in the organism of infected animals was characterized by the violation of hemodynamics, the protein dystrophy of the parenchyma of liver, kidneys, myocardium and the formation of specific granulomas in the lungs and liver. The edema of reticular tissue and the hyperplasia of lymph nodes were observed in the organs of the immune system. The expressive edema of mucous membrane and submucosa, as well as alterative and necrotic processes were detected in the intestine.

Abstract: The importance of identification and differential diagnosis of spinal injuries, in the case of polytrauma, the ability to distinguish the pathogenesis of various injuries are important and relevant both during clinical and during pathological examination of the animal’s body. The purpose of research is to provide veterinary practitioners and lawyers with strategies for identifying the cause (mechanism) of spinal cord injury and to assist triers of fact (decision-makers) in arriving at plausible and reasoned veterinary forensic conclusions. The research was performed using pathological and anatomical dissection and histological studies. It was established that damage to the cervical spinal cord due to traumatic bending of the neck was accompanied by partial or complete rupture of the intervertebral disc and destruction of the ligaments of the vertebrae. It was found that the hyperemia of the vessels of the meninges of the brain is the result of blood circulation disorders in the occipital artery and the caudal artery of the meninges, and mechanical damage to the integrity of the intervertebral discs or the destruction of the ligaments of the neck vertebrae led to various disorders of the innervation of various organs and systems of the body and ended the death of animals. It was proved that the distraction injury of the cervical spine led to the swelling of the medulla of the brain, haemorrhages of the caudalventral part of the brain substance. It was found that irritation of nervus vagus led to hyperemia of vessels of large (aorta and trunk of pulmonary artery) caliber, cranial mesenteric artery) caudal mesenteric artery and, accordingly, hyperemia of thoracic and abdominal organs. Application of research results will help in differentiation of various types of mechanical injuries of the spine (including differentiation from other pathological conditions of the body), determination of the area of the applied force vector

Abstract: Background. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is able to affect the permeability of membranes by increasing the entry of antibiotics into the cell of microorganism; therefore, PEGylation may improve the effectiveness of antibiotics due to chemical modification of their molecules. It is important to assess the safety and toxicity of new compounds for drug development activity. The aim of this research was to study the functional state and structure of the kidneys of laboratory rats after intramuscular administration of PEGylated antibiotic enrofloxacin, as well as commercial antibiotic enrofloxacin and polymer PEG-400, which were used for the synthesis of PEGylated antibiotic enrofloxacin. Materials and Methods. PEGylated antibiotic enrofloxacin was obtained via the reaction between enrofloxacin chloride and PEG-400 polymer (polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 400 Da). The research was conducted on four groups of rats: control and three experimental ones, 12 animals in each group. Physiological saline solution was intramuscularly injected to the control rats; commercial antibiotic enrofloxacin – to rats of the first experimental group; polymer PEG-400 – to rats of the second experimental group; PEGylated antibiotic enrofloxacin – to rats of the third experimental group. Results. The conducted studies did not show a significant difference between the serum creatinine in control rats and experimental ones on the 7th, 14th and 21st days after the last administration of the drugs. Creatinine levels in the blood of all groups of animals were within physiological ranges. Histological studies of the kidney structure in control rats indicated no changes during the experiment. Histological changes in the structure of the kidneys were observed within the first seven days after the end of the intramuscular administration of polymer PEG-400 and PEGylated antibiotic enrofloxacin. Injections of the commercial form of antibiotic enrofloxacin to experimental rats caused histological changes in the kidney structure for 21 days of the experiment. Conclusions. Quadruple intramuscular administration of PEGylated and commercial antibiotics enrofloxacin to rats showed that PEGylation reduces nephrotoxicity and shortens the duration of adverse effects in the kidneys.

Abstract: The relevance of the study is caused by the growing role of multimodal transportation in Ukraine and the European Union, ensures the optimization of the goods supply chain management to the consignee, and an important element of this development is the significant role of rail transport in the multimodal transportation, which is relevant towards minimization of costs and preserving the environment. The purpose of the article is to develop measures to improve the designing processes of the multimodal route parts for grain supply chains through the using of network systems and minimizing the total transportation cost. Taking into account the specifics of the functioning and management of multimodal transportation, an approach to the integrated assessment of the effect from the transport enterprises activities in multimodal transportation based on the building of network models of each part of the multimodal route is offered. The article presents the results of the analysis and theoretical generalization of approaches to formalizing the process of functioning the multimodal transportation systems for goods supply chains with rail and road modes of transport. The materials of the article are of practical value for vocational and industrial training of logistics operators, transport companies’ staff, and scientific and pedagogical personnel in order to improve their professional competencies.
