Kurzfassung: The rapid development of electric vehicles (EVs) such as Easy Bike, Auto-Rickshaw, and Electric Bike is a major contributor to global energy concerns. Although electric vehicles are bringing a new dimension to the transportation sector, with advantages such as being the cheapest method of transportation and emitting fewer greenhouse gases (GHGs), the massive amounts of energy required to charge the electric vehicles is a challenging issue. Pakistan is also moving toward the use of electric vehicles however the absence of charging facilities in Pakistan slows down the charging process and increases the prices for electric vehicle users. Finding the requisite charging without threatening the current power infrastructure is one of the most challenging tasks of the present era. Renewable energy-based charging is required to fulfill the charging demand of electric vehicles. To find the best configuration to meet the necessary daily charging demand, this proposed work undertakes a techno-economic assessment for a novel renewables-based grid-tied charging station. The technical, economic and environmental impacts of Solar based grid-tied charging stations are taken into account. Moreover, the results are justified by considering the losses and building the system model. The suggested strategy decreases energy costs from $.200/kWh to $.016/kWh while reducing grid load by 254,030 kWh/yr. Furthermore, the system completes 7.7 charging sessions every day, using 13% of the electricity generated. The remaining 87% of the electricity is sold back to the grid, which generates significant revenue.

Kurzfassung: The impact of credit risk (CR) on bank-specific factors (BSF’s) and banks in the event of conventional and Islamic banks of Pakistan is an essential motivation behind this learning. These banks are chosen by their value commitment. The financial explanation investigation of chosen Islamic and conventional banks is contemplated from 2007 to 2017. Relapse examination of non-performing loan (NPL) proportion and Z-Score is utilized to discover the connections of BSF’s on chosen banks. The Islamic banking system consists of (return on equity (ROE), ROA, liquidity, spread and bank size) having a significant relationship toward credit risk. Therefore, the impact of the Z-score is less for Islamic banks relatively compared to conventional banks. The increased risk of bank debt reflects a strong NPL. In this examination bank, certain factors, for instance, efficiency, return on assets (ROA) and bank dimension, have a significant liaison through credit card risk in the conventional selected banking system, and this process affects overall banking performance. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, regulators, and banking professionals to manage credit risk effectively in the context of Pakistan's banking system. The originality of this study lies in its focus on the comparison between conventional and Islamic banks in Pakistan, which has yet to be extensively explored in the literature.

Kurzfassung: This research was conducted to compare and contrast the effectiveness of Takaful and Conventional insurance providers in developing markets like Pakistan. This was achieved by collecting and analyzing information from the databases of four Takaful and four traditional insurance providers covering 2012-2018. The technical, cost and allocative efficiencies were determined using data envelopment analysis. Total assets and employee count were inputs, while investment income, net premium revenue, and other income were measured as outcomes. Labour and asset costs were included in determining profitability. As of 2012, Pakistan's Takaful insurance sector was considered extremely technically efficient. Conventional insurance companies were more technically efficient than Takaful insurance companies throughout the review period, with an average technical efficiency score of 0.890 compared to 0.730 for Takaful insurance companies. Pak-Qatar General Takaful was found to be the most technically efficient (0.855), Pak-Qatar Family Takaful most allocative (0.703) and cost-efficient (0.597) among all Takaful insurance firms in Pakistan. On average the technical efficiency score is 0.810, allocative efficiency 0.490 and cost efficiency 0.407. Tobit regression estimates found that investment income, size of the firm and number of employees significantly affects the efficiency scores of insurance companies. Based on the above discussion the researcher concludes that conventional and Takaful insurance companies require to improve their technical, allocative and cost efficiencies.

Kurzfassung: The government adjusts its financial obligations and collects taxes to pay for the public through taxes. Tax behavior varies from individual to individual. Tax audits and fines are also policies to collect tax amounts. The study aims to determine tax compliance behavior. A quantitative approach is applied to obtain the respondent's perception of justice in tax laws. Overall total number of questionnaires sent to bar councils was 400, of which 325 lawyers responded. The problem is that Pakistan needs a better tax collection system; therefore, many problems are faced during tax collection. The justice system is better for recovering the tax penalties, whereas procedural justice investigates the compliance of individuals about the tax. Taxpayers also find ways to reduce the amount of tax and make deduction claims by hiding some of their assets. Tax audit is also a significant field to assess and measure fraud in the tax collection system. Results differentiate that there is a positive and significant relationship between tax compliance behavior and perception of justice. So, it rejects the null hypothesis and shows a significant relationship. If the individuals cooperate with the government and perform their duties well, then the structure of the tax system can survive and collaborate in the economy of Pakistan.

Kurzfassung: Purpose—This study aims to perform an in-depth analysis of double-diffusive natural convection (DDNC) in an irregularly shaped porous cavity. We investigate the convective heat transfer process induced by the lower wall treated as a heat source while the side walls of the enclosure are maintained at a lower temperature and concentration, and the remaining wall is adiabatic. Various factors, such as the Rayleigh number, Darcy effects, Hartmann number, Lewis number and effects of magnetic inclination are evaluated for their influence on flow dynamics and heat distribution. Design/methodology/approach—After validating the results, the FEM (finite element method) is used to simulate the flow pattern, temperature variations, and concentration by solving the nonlinear partial differential equations with the modified Rayleigh number (104 ≤ Ra ≤ 107), Darcy number (10−4 ≤ Da ≤ 10−1), Lewis number (0.1≤Le≤10), and Hartmann number 0≤Ha≤40 as the dimensionless operating parameters. Findings—The finding shows that the patterns of convection and the shape of the isotherms within porous enclosures are notably affected by the angle of the applied magnetic field. This study enhances our understanding of how double-diffusive natural convection (DDNC) operates in these enclosures, which helps improve heating and cooling technologies in various engineering fields. Research limitations/implications—Numerical and experimental extensions of the present study make it possible to investigate differences in thermal performance as a result of various curvatures, orientations, boundary conditions, and the use of three-dimensional analysis and other working fluids. Practical implications—The geometry configurations used in this study have wide-ranging applications in engineering fields, such as in heat exchangers, crystallization, microelectronics, energy storage, mixing, food processing, and biomedical systems. Originality/value—This study shows how an inclined magnetic field affects double-diffusive natural convection (DDNC) within a porous system featuring an irregularly shaped cavity, considering various multiphysical conditions.
